Pour at Night of the Barrels (EBF). Big fan of the original beer with some age on it so didn’t know what to expect. Dark brown with a light brown head. Seems like both a muted and enhanced version of the base beer - roasted malts, smoke, nutty, malty, alcohol and wood (was nice to have the wood without the bourbon flavours). Definitely hot, sweet with a nice depth from the cedar, moderate carbonation and decent body, lots of booze.

Pouring at the Night of the Barrels on the Friday night of EBF 2012. Pours a deep black with a thin beige head. Cedar on the nose, rich and smoky sweet, chocolate. Roast, chocolate and wood. Cedar, spicy malt. Booze and vanilla, chocolate and roast. Long spicy alcohol on the finish.
