Bottled 12/28/09. Consumed 4/3/10. [A] Donít think Iíve ever given a í10í in aroma. Not even BB Expo/Double Cream. This is worthy. Very pleasant rosy, woody smell. Better than oak. Caramel, vanilla, licorice, banana, chocolate, coffee, malty brown, spirity aroma. [A] Slick looking pour, sitting very black in glass, completely opaque, with a tan/brown head. Impressive for a brown/strong ale. More of a stout look. [F] Sawdust. Licorice most noticeable. Followed by caramel. Coffee, and roast malts. Wood. And bourbony vanilla here. Touch of smoke. Lovely. [P] 12% ABV is not overly apparent under everything else. May be quite hot on booze to alot of people. The mouthfeel is wonderful. Medium-heavy. Milky. Bitter on end, with a dry woodiness, and spirit. [O] This is a huge brew. Quite a treat. Just as great as I remembered it. Highly recommended.

Pours dark with a bit of foam. Aroma is woody, something interesting going on, library bookshelf? Tastes really rich, full of chocolate, bitter one with not too much cocoa. Booze bites a bit and leaves beautiful long lasting aftertaste.

Very unique. Bottle pours Very dark brown with one finger persistent tan head. Aroma Palo Santo and malts. Taste matches with wood, vanilla, roast malts and other spices I canít identify which I guess are coming from the Palo Santo. Almost a cinnamon/nutmeg sensation. Creamy palate with woody finish.
