| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 8, 2010 Severe Belgian spice and honey aroma. A real green, grassy quality. Apricot, apple skins. The malt is soil and earth.
The appearance is clear, flat gold. Tons of carbonation. Not a lot of head.
The flavor is a grassy Belgian single flavor. Lots of spice. Tres Belgian. Honey comes in at the end.
The palate is very fizzy; dances on the tongue. Smooths out as it airs out. Overall, it’s prickly, spicy and filled with earthy, grassy notes all around. Nice. carruthm (1221), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 7, 2010 Bottle. It’s times like this I believe Dogfish Head is trying too hard. The pour is a lovely pale orange with no head. Thin palate. Aroma is near pumpkin like, of course with ginger but also maybe nutmeg. Lots of carbonation, spicy taste with some sugar. Not sure I’d want the whole bomber but appreciate a bit of it. puggy211 (608), cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 5, 2010 Pours the amber color of a crisp cider. The aroma hints of ginger and flowers. This is a very odd concoction. It it like a cross between a ginger beer and a dry saki. Would probably be really good with sushi Fratto (827), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 26, 2010 Bottle sample at the DFH tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 1/22/10. Clear gold pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of ginger, but also something more herbal, like rosemary. Some white pepper and sweet malt in there as well. Flavor has the same spicy and herbal character with ginger in the front before a sweet malt finish. Cavie (1650), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 22, 2010 Bottle courtesy of Largiari. Clouded orange pour with small bits of sediment. Large white head. Spicy smell with hints of ginger. Also smells of grain. Taste has immediate sweet spice, such as ginger and cinnamon. Easy grains creep in following that. Finishes with light hints of the previous spice. I don’t get any Penguin poop so that’s cool. Probably the closest I will ever been to Antarctica though. Glad to have tried this.
