750ml bottle in a lager glass. Pours cloudy amber/golden with a thick, fluffy, cream-colored head. Aroma of spicy yeast, some caramel and pale malts, ginger, and floral/citrusy hops. Flavor about the same, with the ginger, malts, yeast, and hops all blending well. Average texture. A pretty good beer.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20 Lokitez (1) - Maryland, USA - FEB 4, 2012 does not count
Tried this beer at a tasting with 21 other beers. Pangaea really stood out with its ginger, which I would say is the dominant flavor in the beer. There was almost a tingling on the tongue with each sip.

Bottle at a recent BA/RB tasting... A golden/orange pour with a lacey white head. Super spiced beer and quite earthy. A lot going and nothing really stood out individually with the spicing. However it all meshed nicely and created a unique drinking beer. Acidic, peppery spiced, eatery for sure. Gingerbread-like malt tones, citrus and other light fruits.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 cmonster (608) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 11, 2012
Bottle served in a tulip. 2009-2 bottling. Pours dark orange with a short head that rings to the glass. Aroma of heavy ginger, with tea, spice box, and indoor swimming pool. Medium sweet, dry flavor. Light body, thin yet creamy texture, and a dry, chalky, wit-like finish. Light belgian influence. Very tasty and refreshing. I’d drink this again.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Butters (2834) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 9, 2012
Mildly hazy orange pour with with ring of offwhite head. A little Sweet and sugary and old ginger. I do love the experimentation and the spirit behind this brew, but overall, I wouldn’t want to drink it again really. Not bad though.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a big white head. The nose is quite floral, a bit of pepper, lemon, coriander, orange peel, other random spices. The taste is quite sweet and aromatic. A bit acidic, slightly spiced finish. The palate is medium, the texture slick. Overall, a pretty unique beer. Not mind-blowing, though it was pretty fragrant with plenty of acid. This paired well with seafood.
