Aroma of fruit, yeast, caramel. Taste is sugary swet with ginger. Finishes dry and light. Body is medium with smooth mouth and moderate carbonation. TheElder (49), DeSoto, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | May 29, 2008 I’m not going to lie to you. I really enjoyed this beer. It poured the truest orange I can describe, with a little beige head. It doesn’t move around on the palate much but for initial tastes I get honey and spice. It reminds me of the innards of a cinnamon roll. Great. IPAaLLtHEwAY (137), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 29, 2008 Clear orange color. little head, mild aroma. flavor is ginger, with spices. Slightly woody. However not much progression on the palate it hits you and then dies. All in all i love dogfish head, and this is a premium beer. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 25, 2008 bottle - Pours clear orange/gold with a thin head. It has a light, honey sweet aroma. The sweet flavor is of ginger and honey with a touch of some other spice in there and pale malts. The body is light, maybe a little too light. It’s unusual and enjoyable, but not fantastic. 502Flavors (631), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 24, 2008 750 ml. into pint glass. Pours a nice honey brown with notes of orange; very hazy and good looking with a descent white head that fades pretty fast. Aroma isn’t much, smells like a simple lager with some subtle aromas; hints of ginger, honey, and sweet malt. Flavor has ginger and honey notes with malty background; alcohol is hidden very well. The flavor isn’t super pungent but is subtly delicious and highly drinkable. Smooth and soft with little carbonation on the palate. Overall: good beer, worth trying if you can find it; if you like Belgians I think you will like this. dalepryor (172), Paducah, Kentucky, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 20, 2008 had this one a while back, from memory it pours golden, smells of ginger. Tastes of ginger as well with spices. It was a pretty light ale as far as the body goes. It was drinkable and very enjoyable. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 18, 2008 A clean golden pour with a foamy white head and lace. Aroma very much of just beer and light spices. Flavor as well hints of spice but resembles a light lager in some ways. Carbonation is a tad aggressive for me. Just not really special or spicey not what I expected but with that said it was a good beer as I work to finish the 750 off I may come back and change the rating.
