Bottle. A lightly hazy mostly clear amber beer with a pretty big off-white head. Sweet, sugary aroma of ginger and spice. Taste is the same. Medium bodied, somewhat dry finish. Quite similar to a pumpkin and pretty forgettable.

Nice bubbly pour from a tap. Bubbly presentation is attractive tot he eye. A little spicey on the smell impressions with a simulatnious olfactory of slaggyness. Interesting leather thing on the taste buds. Weird bitterness mixed in. Quite unique like most DFH beers. Medicinal finish in there. Hangs for a while after the session.

Surprisingly light and easy to drink for one of Dogfish Head’s special brews. The ginger made it a great beer.

Despite recently having an 08 that has aged really well, I decided to dig through the notes and do the 06 I had 2 years ago. 25oz bottle. Pours out a nice light brown hue, white head. I had my suspecions that this onewas over the hill, far from it. Aromas are really yeasty, spices are in tact. The palate is smooth, slight oxidation but it actually helps exentuate the ginger. Flavor cascades across the palate to a lingering wonderful finish. This one ages maybe the best out of any 25 oz DFH offering.

I was slightly disappointed with this beer. The ginger is practically nonexisted. Mediocre beer.

Taster tap at bad apple Chicago. I loved all the different flavors in here, each one you can pick out if you’re looking for it. The ingredient that stood out most for me was the ginger, which some people here said they didn’t taste at all. Maybe each batch is slightly different. Regardless, it was delicious.

On draft. It pours yellow with a large creamy white head. The aroma is sweet with some banana, clove and some wheat bread. The flavor is the same. I didn’t get the ginger. Maybe a hint of citrus peel with a sweet full body and noticeable alcohol in the finish. A confusing beer.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Spice and light ginger aroma with malt. Malt and ginger flavor with light pepper. Medium bodied. Malt and ginger lingers with light sweetness, light pepper, and light yeast.
