2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours macro-lager style; straw colored and a slight, white head that fades quickly, leaving no lacing. Smells of alcohol (almost Gin-like aroma) and a fruity maltiness. Taste is roasty and fruity, the fruit is a bit rotten tasting though. A slight hint of currants in this, but not much. A little tartness, but not as much as expected. Itís a little hot, with a residual sweetness. It tastes decent, but I would have expected a hell of a lot more from something with DFH and PJ sharing the same label. Seems they like Miles Davis a bit more than they do PJ.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear yellow. Syrupy sweet aroma with some deep red fruit. The currrants are coming through here and follow through well into the flavor. There is an astringent bitterness to the flavor that is not melding very well unfortunately but overall this is a tasty fruity brew. Finish is slightly sweet and syrupy again. Full bodied. Relatively quick on the finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear gold with a white head which dissipated rather quickly. Aroma is citrus, florals and earthy. Taste is sweet with faint bitters which quickly turn sweet again. Mouthfeel is oily and almost creamy at times, which was surprising as it looked as if it would drink thin. Overall I think that this was very good, but as noted the price is a little high and this may be dragging the rating down a bit.

Bottle. Not awesome enough for the price. Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Earthy caramel and strong currant aroma and taste with a robust bready backbone.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Crisp aroma is malty and yeasty and has an undertone of - yes, currants. It pours a clear solar yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. Flavor is crisp and malty with yeasty and currant notes, just a little fruity sweetness, and a hint of hoppy bitterness. Smooth, syrupy texture is fairly fizzy and leaves a firm, persistent tingle. Keep on pearl jamminí!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 750 ml bottle. (Going a bit on memory here as I re-rated this when it was aliased to Au Courant and I do not put as much detail in re-rates) Golden color, nice bubbly white head. Fresh slightly fruity aroma, reminiscent of scuppernong grapes. Flavor is fruity sweet, white grapes come to mind. Thick enough mouthfeel. Decent, but not worth the $15 - but Iím a Pearl Jam fan - so what the hell.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Looks and smells like a Russian or Polish made strong lager. You know one of those musty Baltika 9ís or Lobster Lover, Zaibo beers? So my question is this. Does Sam like PJ? Because this brew is horrible. Smells of musty, rotten stonefruit pulp. Full nectar weight with good carbonation. Mildly sweet with flavors reminiscent of itís nose. Total buick man.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is clear golden yellow with a bubbly white head that fades quickly. Nice lacing. Aroma is of grains and sugar - biscuits, blackberries, peaches, honey. Flavor and texture is quite thin with some notes of white grapes and berries with a dry finish. Good carbonation.
