3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL bottle. Split with my wife on 10-24-12
A: Clear gold with a fading white head. No legs.
N: Fruity and sweet. Currants and plenty of pilsner type malt. Some floral elements. White grape and green apple.
T: Very pilsner like again, but that’s not what I’d expect from a Belgian golden. Yeasty. The currents and grape are somewhat distant. Biscuity. Really, this doesn’t have enough of the fruit evident in the nose.
M: Very light, but very sharply carbonated. Alcohol is well-hidden.
O: It’s decent and worth a try if you have someone to split it with, but it would have benefited from more body and more currant.

I like pearl jam and I hate their beer. This is a weird macro tasting beer that should be called MGD Grape. Not good.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2012-09-16. Crisp dark yellow body, nice white head and lace. 3+ Sweet pale malt aroma, lightly fruity, sweet floral notes, biscuity malt. 6+ Flavor is similar, sweet pale malt, with fruit and bready malt character, very lightly tart in the finish. Very smooth medium bodied palate. 3+ Okay, a bit dull, bit grainy as it warms. The alcohol is fairly restrained. Just okay, I much preferred the album. Bottle has a few months in the cellar, Trade with josefiak

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Secret Santa. Blonde with a purple haze. Blackcurrant in the aroma. Malty sweetish, just a bit alcoholic and perfumed flavor with blackcurrant notes Sweetish, a bit sticky. Pearl Jam deserves a better tribute.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
glassware: Infinium flute....occasion: the deck is officially framed...appearance: bubbly white head that rises on a hazy gold body...aroma: fruit-fortified--the currants are sour and stronger than some reviewers have stated; not a turn-on or a turn-off, but abrupt...palate: light and spritzy--not as strong as Pearl Jam’s early or late catalogue--and easily drinkable (a.k.a. little character--decidely not Eddie Vedder!)...taste: slightly pungeant, sour fruit flavors....overall: like Pearl Jam’s better songs, the subtle power (alcohol) of this beer is best served in an easily drinkable package...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml bottle picked up at the brewery in Milton, DE. Pours a lightly hazed golden colored body with a finger-width, creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is nice and subtle with a lightly sweetened, grainy, bready malt backing with a slight toastiness and wheat. Light currant berry notes throughout with some mild fruity esters, a light grass, and passion fruit. Flavor is similar. Light toastiness to the grainy, lightly sweetened bready malts up front before some black currants, tropical fruit florals, and fruity esters come in subtly. Finishes very smooth and fairly dry with a light grassy bitterness, bready malt sweetness, and a bit of a black currant berry. Light alcohol note before leaving a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Smooth, medium body and a very soft, somewhat creamy, moderate carbonation. Overall, a really nice drinking Belgian golden ale with a light fruity essence. Subtle flavors, but very well balanced throughout. I would have liked the currants to be a little more forward, but nonetheless, I was a fan of this one. Good beer.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Strong currant aroma. This beer reminds me a lot of Midas Touch. Head is short lived and clarity could be improved upon. Very sweet taste that lingers on the tongue for quite some time.
