Strong currant aroma. This beer reminds me a lot of Midas Touch. Head is short lived and clarity could be improved upon. Very sweet taste that lingers on the tongue for quite some time.

2011 vintage, on draft. Smells like white tea, and honey. The taste is bread like, sweet, oranges, lemongrass. Spicy and carbonated, pretty good.

bottle. Golden with big fluffy head. Light body with some sweet currant. Completely one dimensional. This really needs something to balance the sweetness, like a little tartness. Disappointing.

a soft vanilla flavor to begin. very soft. some citrus notes as well. maybe more of a limeyness than a lemon. softer flavors too. pear and a little oak? there’s something else towards the finish, a lackluster wateryness that is unappealing. a little heat and plenty of gas in the finish. virtually no hop bitterness on the palate. meh, i find myself back and forth between enjoying some of the flavors and wanting more.

ROGUE (2086) - Newark, Delaware, USA - AUG 28, 2013
750ml bottle. Pours a light golden color with a one finger head that disapates into a ring of light lacing. Aroma is light with, hops, berries and hints of honey. Taste follows the nose, lots of pale malts with a very white wine and honey sweetness. White grapes, honey and a sort of fruity tartness towards the back end. Flavor rises as the beer warms. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation that is smooth and creamy.

750ml bottle, clean golden color, with a thick bubbly white head, with a sweet earthy pale, toasted, munich honeyed malt nose, with some wet hay, kind of corn sweetness accents, with a barley sugar, grain corn, cooked corn, subtle honey lollipop, apple sauce note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a mild sweet honeyed pale, pilsener, munich, toasted malt, faint fruity, juicy black currant acidic character, with some corn syrup, cream-style corn mellowness, wet juicy hay, cereal flake, barley sugar flavours, with a bready, bagel dough, cooked corn, subtle white wine acidic undertone, leading towards a juicy grainy pale, pilsener, munich maltiness, corny, faint honey lollipop, faint acidic currant fruitiness, lingering hop dry bitterness finish.

Poured from a 750ml bottle into a Spiegelau tulip. A: Strong currants and berry notes with a hint of pomegranate. Delicate bready sweetness sweetness in the back.with pineapple esters. A: Bright, clear orange under a bready off-white head which dissipates slowly and leaves minimal lacing. T: Like the nose, fruity, like currants, with a solid bready, yeasty malt backbone. Strong frozen currants notes in the finish. P: Medium-bodied with a slick texture and average mouth-carbonation, O: Different. Initially, proroguing as the fruity currants are a relatively unfamiliar taste. Smooths out as it warms, I certainly love to concept of a tribute beer, so much so that it carries the flavor somewhat.

12/1/2011. 750 ml. bottle. Poured golden with a white head. Fruity aromas with light malt and yeast. Seem a bit light and lacking flavors. One to drink and forget.

A: Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Most Light, Mild White Head Ring, Almost No Lacing S: Light Belgian Sugar, Mild Grape T: Light Belgian Sugars, Mild Currants M: Average Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Mildly Dry Overall, a weak belgian strong ale...if this beer was called by a different name (ie Miller) then I might have a better appreciation for it. Not Recommedned especially for 17.99 per bomber.
