Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 750 ml bottle. (Going a bit on memory here as I re-rated this when it was aliased to Au Courant and I do not put as much detail in re-rates) Golden color, nice bubbly white head. Fresh slightly fruity aroma, reminiscent of scuppernong grapes. Flavor is fruity sweet, white grapes come to mind. Thick enough mouthfeel. Decent, but not worth the $15 - but I’m a Pearl Jam fan - so what the hell.

pours a hazy gold with some head. Tons of fruit aroma. Deep plum and other fruity characters dominate the nose. Medium body, and tons of fruity sweetness. Little malt character but still a very good beer.

A - Pours a fairly clear golden-yellow with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a fairly slow pace leaving behind some nice lace. S - Aroma is a mix of light fruits, Belgian yeast, some coriander, lemon, and some light pale malts. T - Starts off with some sweet fruity esters with some pale malt and some lemon and other citrus flavors. Through the middle, the fruit flavors come through with some currants, alongside some Belgian yeasts, with some light spices. The finish is a mix of sweet light fruits, pale malts, yeast, and some lemon. M - Medium-plus bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet and dry finish. D - Very drinkable. There is quite a bit of fruity flavor mixed in, but the beer still stays nicely balanced and refreshing.

Bottle - thanks to pellegjr. Honestly I had to have this more for the bottle than anything else. I still have my cassette tape and TEN was my first cd ever. Huge fan. A golden lager with currants... not expecting much here so I wasn’t let down. Pretty tame DFH, pretty tame. The currants were barely present and this came off as a pretty malty golden ale. While it’s cool to do a celebration ale and all I might have been better off never opening this one.

750 ml bottle from Julio’s. Pours a clear straw yellow with a 2 finger white head. Aroma is to the sweet side with hints of candied sugar, muted Belgian yeast and a hint of grape. Kind of a white wine like scent. Flavor is currants, berries, yeast and candy. Moderate in body with a fair amount of carbonation. Not a bad beer although I don’t think I would pay for another.

Currants are in aroma with a somewhat chardonnay like smell. Flavor is nice with a nice balance between the fruit and sweet malt. Some funk with the Belgian yeast but overall its rather conservative and not very dry either. Easy drinker, collect the bottle I guess.

Thanks to the Mick for this one. Having this with my buddy, a huge PJ fan in celebration of his new baby girl! Hey Penny! Pours a bright golden with a slight reddish tinge. Aroma is cereal grains with a small black currant fruitiness. Taste is light toasted grain with a small sweetness that comes from the fruity currants. Ok was expecting more.

Pours a light golden color with a one finger head that disapates into a ring of light lacing. Aroma is there but not strong, hops and berries with hints of honey. Taste follows the nose, flavor rises as the beer warms and it really turns into a pretty good beer, its smooth and creamy and quite tasty. I’m wondering if some of the poor reviews were written as the beer warmed.

Pours more like a pilsner than a true Belgian golden, but has an extremely pleasant fruity nose. Currant notes balance well with hop bite, great taste in a highly drinkable beer.

Bottle. A yellow orange color with a white head. The aroma and flavor grew on me over time and as it warmed. A nice mild fruity currant aroma throughout. A mildly dusty flavor and finish.

Bottle: Poured a clear bright golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head. Aroma consists of light sweet malt base with note of currants and light fruity ester. Taste is an unbalanced mix between some lightly sweet malt notes with some currant notes and some weird cough syrup notes detectable in the background. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Another experience that is not a total hit.
