UPDATED: DEC 24, 2013 Bottle into footed pilsner glass, golden color, bubbly with fluffy white head. Aroma of malt sweetness and tea. Taste adds a note of pear and herbal hops. Light body, heavy carbonation, effervescent, clean with some grassy bitterness on the finish. Very good take on the classic pils, enjoyed.

Poured into a pils glass. 4.25 A: Lightly hazed light orange color. One finger of frothy/creamy off-white head. Retention is good and a large ring of lacing is left. 4.25 S: Quite an interesting take on the pils. Grainy neutral maltiness. Grassy and earthy hops. A touch of herbalness. Pear complements extremely well. 4.25 T: Taste is just as good. The pear comes out more prominently in the taste and again it fits right in. Grainy neutral maltiness. Grassy and earthy hops. Well done. 4.25 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Pleasantly creamy and super smooth. 4.25 D: I’m surprised how good of a beer this is. It wouldn’t be an everyday pils, but its a damn good stray from the norm. ★ 710 characters DavoleBomb, Apr 05, 2014

Bottle pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is floral/perfumy with notes of fresh cut grass, white pear, honeysuckle, and bready malt. Flavor is strange. Oversteeped tea tannin and syrupy pear mixed with herbal hops and bready malt. Definitely not my cup of tea (pun intended). Overall body is moderate and the finish is bitter.

Tasted from a 12oz. bottle. It poured a murky golden hue with a frothy yet bubbly white head and plentiful streaky lacing. Nose is grassy malt with a hint of lemon zest. Refreshingly smooth, bitter-sweet tasting Pils, with a bit of pear on the back end. Although I’m a bit of a Hop-Head I’m enjoying this little number.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World Of Beer in Pooler, GA. This beer has a hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma is full of hops and malt, very nice smell. The flavor is once again hops with a great flavor. Another enjoyable beer from Dogfish Head.

Bottle at a BBQ, 8/8/2015
The pear is subtle, but noticeable. It adds a bit of sweetness to the fairly clean and drinkable pilsener that lies underneath. Solid.

bottle. Had at random. Easily one of the better pilseners that I’ve had. Easy drinking

Hazy amber/gold color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of yeast, floral hops, hay/grain, & some spice; Flavor of slight sweet malt, hops, citrus, and some fruit; Finish is slightly bitter; Enjoyable pils.

12oz bottle, poured into a footed pilsner glass. The aroma is stoney / mineral-like with a spiciness to it and a light pear note that strengthens late. The hue of the beer is yellow with a light haze and persistent effervescence , and it’s topped by a white, fluffy foam head that only has a light retain and lace. The beer is a medium bitter and sweet. It’s oily with a light foam carbonation and a medium light body flavored with bread, rocks, spice, bitter citrus, and a light pear. It finishes crisp and spicy with minerals and is lightly dry. The aftertaste is moderately strong, but short with minerals and bitter citrus with spice and a hint of pear.

Gold pour, little sediment, creamy white head. nose is pils malt and, yes, some pear. Sweeter than a usual pilsner. Middle is soft malt at the front, followed by quick and noticeable pear. Finish is nice , lasting , Saaz hopiness.
