Aroma- A light fruitiness (If I didnít know it was brewed with Pear juice, Iím not sure i wouldíve picked it out as pear). Light citrus, herb, and earthy, peppery hops. Bready malts. Taste- Light grapefruit, pear, bready malts, cracker, big tea notes, and slight earthy hop. Sometimes a lemony flavor is there as well. Bready, tea-like aftertaste. Overall- I was most impressed by the characteristics brought in by the tea, but the balance was well worth remembering as well. I loved the subtle grapefruit and earthy hop presence that popped in and out. Probably as complex as a lighter beer can get. Iíve never been much of a Pilsener man, but if I ever get the urge, this is what Iím buying.

12oz bottle picked up at cheese mongers Leavenworth. Pours out a cloudy golden topped with a white head. Nose is spice pepper some grassy notes. Taste is more of the spice and bread malts and a nice end.

12 oz. bottle served in a flute- poured a transparent thin yellow color, very lively carbonation, wafer thin white head formed atop the liquid surface, nominal lacing upon the vessel. Aroma of Saaz hops, pear, and straw. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt has some body to it- which is enjoyable, middle has some light sweetness, finish is somewhat drying and crisp. Not too shabby!

This was a tasty brew...but not a Pilsner! Pear muted traditional aroma and flavor...without adding a true fruit contribution.

Draft at HopCat. Clear yellow color, fluffy white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of freshly cut hay. Taste has lightly bitter and peppery straw. Decent.

Aroma: Pear is apparent, a little lemongrass, light cracker. Appearance: Golden beer with a skin of white head. Flavor: A little pear up front accompanied by hay; lemongrass picks up a little more toward the finish, which is lightly bitter. Palate: Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: I donít think this would really appeal to the pils purists out there, but itís a fine enough beer on itís own.

On tap at Big Fish Grille, Rehoboth Beach. This was poured into a pilsener glass. The appearance was a nice looking semi-hazy to light transparent golden color. Even with a bar pourís kind of head, thereís a light fingerís worth of white foaminess. However, no lacing appeared as it slid down. The smell started off with the white pear encompassing into a crisp sweet corn and a nice little spice from the hops. The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors and combined to flavor. Thereís no aftertaste nor finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed a bit under but that didnít bother me, just was a bit smoother. Overall, a nice Czech Pilsener with a unique quality of the white pear to keep DFH roaming across the lines of different.

Not much aroma, maybe some grain. Taste is of some grain and a light touch of honey and pear. I will need to re- rate this when it is fresher.

Pours a very light amber color with a white head. Aroma is of some earth tones with floral hops and a hint of the fruit. Flavor is slightly different with more of the past coming out. Still had a finish of the floral hops and earth tones.

some kinda fruity honey like aroma which is ok since you donít get the overiding pear to set the tone. then what you get is a fairly intense pilsener type brew with good body and flavor as it should be. without any gimmick from the pear. nice bitter thru out and a sense of tang not easy to discern. so itís a bit mysterious.
