4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
It pours bright golden-orange with an inch of off-white foam. It smells of pears, apples, honeysuckle, caramel, florals, some earthy herbal notes. The taste is tart and sweet, not really sour, with some wheat graininess and sweet dough. The carb is lively without being abrasive. The mouthfeel holds up well; full without syrupy sweetness. Some bitterness present even when itís cold, seems toasty but almost smoky. Itís a delicious brew, full of complimentary flavors, tart and fruity without being sour and astringent, more well balanced with gentle herbal and bready notes. Brave and well executed.

Pours orange gold with a white head. Cidery wheat aroma. Peppery wheat with some cinnamon and nutmeg?

Not a cider, not a beer. I really enjoyed but did not get any cayenne or cilantro.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a light gold, clear, slight head. Aroma is sort of Belgian yeast spiciness and an apple note. Flavor matches. Didnít get cayenne, but did get some subtle fruitiness that I couldnít identify that may have been a pepper residual note. Very faint herbal quality as well, possibly the cilantro. Overall, found it to be sort of like someone took a so-so saison and added just enough apple cider to make it a bit more interesting. Very interesting experiment. The 9% I should note was totally hidden.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Great smell as it leaves the bottle. Seemed to be a bit dry and very sweet. The color seems to be a bit cloudy and I thought listed as a Cider? Not sure itís like that, I was looking for a different beer, but I was pleasantly surprised.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not at all what I expected. Pours a gold color. Nose definitely had the cilantro and the cayenne - Bloody Mary-ish. I found the taste to have some sweetness (though not necessarily apple) with some define cayenne spice that was different than anything I have ever had and was effective at balancing the sweetness. I really liked this beer - although I am not sure I would want to be drinking it every day. Still, I find Dogfish Head to have some misses with their more experimental brews, but this one is a big hit.

Bottle from Giant Eagle in Medina OH. Aroma of cayenne. Flavor is apples and ale. Cayenne and cilantro do a nice job balancing the sweetness of the cider. Really good.

Very hazy gold - amber beer. Good white head. Palate is airy and a little soft but with sharp fine carbonation. Creamy semi dry malt. Seltzer salty minerals. Like fruity tang underneath, trace of apple. Canít really taste much of the exotic ingredients here. Comes over like a Belgian Wit albeit very smooth.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a mildly hazy gold with foamy off white head. Big fruity aroma! Mostly apples- but also banana, lemon and orange. Aroma is also wheat and straw. Big sweet taste of apples and fruit. Medium body. I like to describe this beer as an apple german hef. I definitely loved it.
