Butter and pumpkin aroma with a slight nutmeg just like a tasty desert pie. Curiously the flavor is foremost salty then an apple squash like flavor Id classify as legume. A dry type palate for a vegetable ale which I appreciate. A pretty good showing for this ever popular seasonal. knights97 (80), Tennessee, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2008 12 oz bottle. Tan color with great clarity, effervescent. Aroma of moderate malt and allspice. These go forward in flavor, along with sort of a sugar cookie taste, and huge alcohol burn. TBone (6740), Pori, Finland

Clear amber color, small white head. Rye bread, nut meg, pumpkin and cinnamon in the nose. Brown sugga, coffee, cardamon flavored cookies in the flavor. Some hops and alcohol in the finish. Quite Christmasy actually. IlanMan (817), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2008 Bottle: Pour is medium orange/golden with a short lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma is of light spice and pumpkin but also has malt and a hint of corn. Flavor is much more dominant with medium nutmeg, light pumpkin, light corn, and a touch of cinnamon at the finish. Medium to full bodied brew with low carbonation. Well blended but has a hint of alcohol at the finish. Pretty good brew. ditmier (1057), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 7, 2008 12 oz bottle courtesy of eaglefan538. I assume this is the 2008 version. Pour is clear orange caramel with some quick settling and a smallish off white head. Aroma of cloves, cinnamon and pumpkin. Also some nice nuttiness, nutmeg. Certainly a pumpkin beer nose. Taste is the cloves, sharp bitter spiciness, cinnamon, pumpkin and a peppery finish. A hint of alcohol heat coupled with the brown sugar in the aftertaste. There is a bitter waxiness to the palate, which somehow also manages to be creamy, medium full, and mouth coating. This was an aggressive pumpkin beer to be sure, but it was well made and flavorful. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 6, 2008 Tasty pumpkin pie spices on a bland ale with a squash and hop aftertaste. Interesting. Would have been better with some turkey and mashed potatoes but its not bad.
