AR (417), Georgia, USA Oct 17, 2008 This may be the only pumpkin ale that I can remember that actually has a taste of pumpkin in it. The pumpkin flavor has a nice, spicy cinnamon flavor, also. mylittlesimba1 (1), Hauppauge, New Jersey, USA does not count Oct 17, 2008 Best pumpkin ale I’ve ever tasted, great pumpkin taste, cinnamon, nutmeg, & aroma & very hard to get, everywhere I go-gone! I do try other pumokin ales this time of year, & some beweries make good ones . BrianDorry55 (117), Spring Hill, Florida, USA Oct 17, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine and More in Tampa. Aroma of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, and other spices. Color is orange-brown, light head that doesn’t go away until you take a sip. Tons of flavor, Pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg...spices out the ass. Nice warm feeling on the palate...left a different feel in my mouth. Overall...I love it...Could be because I love most DFH beers...or that I love anything that tastes like pumpkin...But this is a fantastic beer...A new favorite. They should sell it year-round. garmonbozia (226), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Oct 16, 2008 Tasting at keg and barrel 12 oct 08, nice orange color with great head. Smell of pumpkin and nutmeg. alcohol is well hidden. little carbination to speak of. I did like it VitaminR (422), Colorado, USA Oct 16, 2008 Toasted Pumpkin seed and nutmeg nose. Goldish amber, small head. Clovey sweet at first, seemed a little too bitter and boozy. Thin body, medium carbonation, finish was a little harsh and hot. A subtle pumkin ale that had good bones (no Halloween pun intended), but the high alcohol hurts it a bit, slightly less alcohol may enhance the flavors. PickettsCharge (68), USA Oct 15, 2008 Pours with an amber hue that sits below a white frothy head. Hue is clear. The aroma is of cinammon, pumpkin and lots of different spices. The flavor is spicy all the way through (allspice). Also the beer has a weird green tea flavor to it - dont know what this is. Light body, light carbonation. Not a bad beer, but just not my style. beerchugger (286), Colorado, USA Oct 15, 2008 Updated: Apr 17, 2009Pours a dark amber, "autumny" type color making it rather attractive in the glass. A very thin head forms and there is little lacing on the glass. The arome is also rather thin, not providing much other than hints of spices and pumpkin The spices are very noticeable in the flavor of this beer. The pumpkin is not so noticeable, just rather spicey. kevd193213 (477), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA Oct 15, 2008 Bottle. Amber pour with a thin off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of nutmeg, other spices and (surprise) pumpkin. Taste of malt and pumpkin with alcohol present.
