tomthompson89 (1460), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 2, 2008 amber orange color, decent beige head. smell is pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon and some darker malts. flavor is pumpkin pie but also the brown ale falvor with some nutyness to it that im not huge on. bitter finish klavoie22 (16), Newmarket, New Hampshire, USA Sep 1, 2008 A distinctive brown ale with just the right amount of well balanced spices and good but not overwhelming pumkin flavor. Its good. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Sep 1, 2008 Draft @ Coles Buffalo NY. Pretty good pumkin beer. Aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar. taste is pumpkin, brown sugar & spices. Pumpkin & spices compliment & dont dominate as in some pumpkin beers. Nice beer beergod (97), Houston, Texas, USA Aug 31, 2008 Pours orange amber color like that of a pumpkin. The smell is of Mexican pumpkin candy, light cinnamon, the pumpkin taste is mild and not sweet. The roasted pumpkin flavor quickly fades but does finish with a mild spice. This isn’t my favorite beer, but one of the better pumpkin ales i’ve tried. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Aug 31, 2008 Nice aroma, earthy, pumpkin, brown sugar. Nice flavor up front, spicy vegetal taste, just the right amount of pumpkin. Sweet, brown sugar. Cinnamon. A bit thin on the finish, body is a little weak. Could use some more fullness on the mouthfeel, a bit overcarbonated, as some have noted. Slight presence of alcohol. Actually a little boozy after a while. Finish while weak on flavor is bitter. AndyReynolds (280), Wilder, Kentucky, USA Aug 27, 2008 Poured orangish color with white head. Aroma is spiced with cinnamon, numer, and pumpkin. Malts and hops come through a little too. Flavor is sweet and I do agree with 1 2many, it is a tad over carbonated. A good seasonal ale, but not the best fall one out ther. 12many (231), Ohio, USA Aug 26, 2008 Alefest sample. Orangish amber with a small white head. Aroma is nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin. Flavor is a spicy sweetness but this is more carbonated than I would like. Pretty good but there are much better pumpkin ales out there. Haslinger (640), Syracuse, New York, USA Aug 26, 2008 12 ounce bottle. Pours a nice orange, golden. Pretty. Great smelling beer a bit of spicy pumpkins. Great taste. Pumpkin with some spice but not too much.
