12 oz bottle into pint glass. Crystal clear amber color with great off white head with some orange hue to it, which leaves some nice lace. Smells like a nice nut brown with some nice hop notes, pumpkin notes, cinnamon, and nutmeg/clove notes (works well together) - my only complaint is that I wish the pumpkin and spice aromas held more of the ratio. The flavor is unique, but not what I expected. I am not getting that much pumpkin. It tastes like a solid nut brown ale (hops and roast malt) with just a hint of the pumpkin (etc.) in the background - good though. Alcohol is hidden well. Medium bodied on palate with right amount of carbonation (soft). Overall: great style that I hope too get more experience with soon (tis’ the season).

Pours a nice amber color. White two finger head. Some lacing around the glass. Not too much pumpkin flavor, although I did notice the cinnamon and nutmeg. I’m kinda disappointed in this one. Pretty much just like an oktoberfest. I was expecting a little bit more out of this one.

12oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Amber body topped by a small foamy head. Smells of doughy malt and light spice. Tastes like an Oktoberfest with an added touch of spice, just a hint of cinnamon. Can’t detect any pumpkin-esque flavors. Some alcohol is noticeable as it warms. A tad bit overcarbonated. Not bad if you aren’t dead set on it tasting like pumpkin.

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Finally, a pumpkin beer I like!!!!! This taste the way I thought a pumpkin beer should taste. Pours a nice amber-orange with minimal off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin & cinnamon. Flavor is very nice, everything taste like the description, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, grown sugar, also some clove....light sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium body with high carbonation. Overall, good stuff.....Dogfish came through for me.......I wasn’t even going to buy it to begin with due to how other pumpkin beers have tasted to me. But this is good stuff.

Pours extremely clear. Overly filtered. Aroma is not very good but not horrible. Taste is awful. Such a disgrace to the style. If you want a good pumpkin ale try Weyerbacher’s imperial pumpkin.

Pours a brownish amber color with an off white head. Aroma is of lots of brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmug. Flavor is really sweet brown sugar, which lay a nice background to the added spices. Pretty good for a pumpkin beer.

12oz Bottle: Clear amber w/ a small off-white head. Tiny bubbles dance from the bottom of the galss encouraging me to just drink already, aroma first though. Sugar pops out first followed by spices. Nutmeg, all-spice, blah, blah, blah. Flavor is pretty much pumpkin pie spices minus the pumpkin, which is what always pisses me off about this beer. More pumpkin flavor & this thing would be incredible, it’s a good beer. Very smooth & yes, good, but every year I have the same thought...more pumpkin! Just enough that you can actually taste it...ah, forget it...

Bottle. Aroma of spices and pumpkin, flavor the same. Pretty good beer, but just not enough of those spices and pumpkin to make it a great PUMPKIN beer.
