Lots of pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg in the aroma with a weak hint of a light malt base. Fuller mouthful than I was expecting from the aroma and appearance, plus I’m always skeptical when DFH says "full-bodied" on its label. Body is medium/full and quite creamy with fluffy carbonation. Flavor is lots of pumpkin and spice, exactly as it smells, the malt is pretty average and doesn’t add much to the flavor... instead of being a part of the beer it’s like a middle of the road english bitter with pumpkin pie flavoring. Quite a bit of alcohol in the flavor and finish as well. A pretty decent offering. Swolf3 (252), Elkton, Maryland, USA

I enjoy a good seasonal and this is certainly a good start to the fall season.
aroma is alcohol and spiciness ,flavor is subtle with nutmeg and alcohol , but not too much pumpkin on my taste buds.Easy to drink and not overly sweet. Still a little bitterness on the tail end.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 31, 2008 Pours orange amber color like that of a pumpkin. The smell is of Mexican pumpkin candy, light cinnamon, the pumpkin taste is mild and not sweet. The roasted pumpkin flavor quickly fades but does finish with a mild spice. This isn’t my favorite beer, but one of the better pumpkin ales i’ve tried. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 31, 2008 Nice aroma, earthy, pumpkin, brown sugar. Nice flavor up front, spicy vegetal taste, just the right amount of pumpkin. Sweet, brown sugar. Cinnamon. A bit thin on the finish, body is a little weak. Could use some more fullness on the mouthfeel, a bit overcarbonated, as some have noted. Slight presence of alcohol. Actually a little boozy after a while. Finish while weak on flavor is bitter.
