Smells of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkins...pumpkin pie basically. Nose is really well done. The flavor is sweet with spice and pumpkin notes in the finish. Warm full bodied brown ale that is very well done. I dont normally like Pumpkin beers all that much but this is one of the best I’ve had. Also a good bit more pricy than its counterparts. oteyj (726), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Pours a deep orange colour with little to no head. Smells a little bit smoky almost, with hints at cinnamon and nutmeg, and a big sweet malty undertone. Flavour up front is very sweet and malty, and then the spices get fairly intense. It’s almost peppery at times. Finish is also very smooth and a bit sugary and pumpkiny. It is pretty thick, and carbonation is just about spot on, or a tiny bit low. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber orange beer. Aroma and flavor has traditional cinnamon, nutmeg spice, some pumpkin, sweet malt and sweet sugar. I’ll take it at 7%, however in the end the spices were just to much. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Bottle from Tank’s Bar & Grill in Dayton. I spotted the last bottle they had left in their cooler and had to try it. I’ve never seen this one around town before. This was also my first experience with this style of beer.
The color is a murky pumpkin pie brown and has a nice thick head. The aroma is, you guessed it, mostly pumpkin. It has some malty notes in there as well. The flavor is more balanced than I expected. Sweet malt and some bitterness well accented by pumpkin. Interesting beer for sure. I’d like to try other similar ales.
