Not as good as the Shipyard Pumpkinhead or the offering by Blue Moon, but a solid beer nonetheless. Much better than the Saranac and Sam Adams october beers. kiefdog (1586), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2008 12oz bottle that was originally purchased at Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa) in September 2007. Stored at 40-45 degrees for 9 months. Pours a hazy dark amber with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is decidedly spice and nutmeg with hints of pumpkin. Slightly bitter and slightly sweet, this beer tastes heavily of spice and nutmeg with subtle notes of pumpkin. Very different from the 2006 varietal which featured much more pumpkin. Has aged fairly well, but has lost some carbonation and some taste. daknole (2885), Plantation, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Poured a rich amber color. Nice frothy head. Aroma is pumpkin pie spices all the way. Malty as hell on the nose and tongue. Flavor profile is pretty complex on the sweet side. Sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet wood notes, pumpkin, cookies, and at the very very end is some very nice hop balance. I like this one WAY more than I thought I would...YES! mikey (336), farmington, Utah, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 1, 2008 Poured a clear amber body with bubbly, off-white head. the nose was of pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove and nutmug. The taste started with cinnamon, spice and clove notes at first, slowly fading into a nutmug/pumpkin flavor. A nice malty backbone give the spices more pronounced character. It finished fairly dry, with a nice hop presence. Mouthfeel was medium/full. This was a nice, lively, well balanced ale that’s highly drinkable. This is a great fall beer. Grab one of these if you can. Without a doubt my favorite pumpkin ale. Lothore (276), California, USA

S- Smells spicy, perfumey and pumpkiny.
T- Tastes slightly of pumpkin and spices with alcohol apparent. A bit to aritifical for my tastes.
M- Thick with a medium amount of carbonation.
D- I feel done after only a few sips. Not a drinkable brew by any means but not hard to get down. rustychiles (1019), Mesa, Arizona, USA
