Ingy (100), candler, North Carolina, USA Nov 23, 2007 bottle. Orange with small white head. Aromas of pumpkins, spice, cinnamon. Nice balance of flavors--I’m not a huge pumpkin beer fan, but this one is not bad. craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Nov 22, 2007 ’07 bottle on Thanksgiving. full of flavor... most noticeable are the nutmeg and cinnamon. The pumpkin flavors are very muted, which I like - since I am not a huge fan of pumpkin flavor. The aroma is not very strong, but there are faint notes of spices. The flavors really shine through on the palate with a nice spicy texture and strong finish. Excellent fall seasonal from one of the best breweries in America. jhumphries69 (717), Tyrone, Georgia, USA Nov 21, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours a deep orange/copper that is brilliantly clear. Only a thin, light tan head pours up, but it sticks around forever. The aroma is delightfully full of pumpkin. The other pumpkin spice flavors (cinnamoin and nutmeg) are noticable in the aroma also. Underneath the pumpkin is an aroma of caramel coffee cake. The flavor starts malty and sweet the flavor of pumpkin spice tingling the tongue. There is a touch of fruitiness and very mild bitterness, too. The middle of the tongue picks up on some roasted malts, spices, malts, and a spicy hop flavor. The finish is fruity and malty with a touch of bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium in body and vigorously carbonated - it tingles the tongue as goes down. The strength of the beer, though not evident in the flavor, is somewhat noticeable in the aftertaste - and it goes straight to your head. Overall, a very nice (albeit pricey) pumpkin beer for the fall. LearninBeer (194), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Nov 20, 2007 The aroma is pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon. The head is frothy/creamy, white with good lacing. The body is clear and golden orange in color. The initial flavor is a little bitter, salty and leaves a pumpkin taste in your mouth. The finish is long. The body is medium, the texture creamy and fizzy. acearl (207), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 17, 2007 On tap, amber hue, nicel light spice like pumpkin pie, not as hoppy as a dogfish head ususal Canadianlush (169), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA Nov 16, 2007 Good looking ale. Amber in color with a medium white head. Aroma of flour and pumpkin. Taste is overly bitter and hoppy for a seasonal beer. Almost too ale-like and I like ales. Bitter with an awkward taste and uneven finish. Could use more pumpkin. Can’t compare to 4 Peaks Pumkin Porter which I just finished having. Slinger (91), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Nov 10, 2007 12 oz- Pours a clear orange with a small white bubbly head. Scent is typical of a pumpkin ale, but not too strong of anything. Stronger tastes of familiar pumpkin ale ingredients. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Nov 10, 2007 (Draught) Sampled at Duck Island Saloon in Seattle, WA, on October 20, 2007. Foamy white head and orange body. Nose and flavour of full-on pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon and gourd. Average. Nothing exciting happening here...
