| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Barley malt with nutmeg and clove aroma. Clear dark gold, thin head. The flavor is about a 60/40 pumpkin/clove. Mulberry finish. Alcohol content obvious, but without seeming perfumey. Improves with warming. djd07 (733), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a copper orange with a large creamy off white head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a strong spice and cinnamon and light malt. Thin mouthfeel with a light caramel malt with pumpkin, cinnamon, and a nice spicy finish. Easy to drink, hiding the alcohol well, a very good Spice from Dogfish Head. RickTStiles (25), New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Poured from 12 oz. bottle into lager glass. Clear orange with a small fizzy head. Aroma is pumpkin pie with cloves and some citrus. Pumpkin and spice in the nose and body with a warm finish that ends with the same citrus it began with. Very enjoyable but I might keep looking for a standby fall beer. bblack99 (202), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2009 12oz bottle, pours a slightly unappealing clear orange-brown but with a nice bubbly cap of off-white head.
Smells strongly of brown sugar and cinnamon, caramel malt and pumpkin (in a sort of understated way). Flavor is quite different, with the allspice dominating and making this feel more like a "spice" beer instead of being specifically a pumpkin brew.
Much thicker than a lot of other pumpkins, but it’s a nice change of pace. thirdeye11 (516), Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2009 ( 12oz bottle) pours a beautiful orange, lively carb and nice frothy head that continually recarbs itself. Nose of alcohol, brown sugar, toasted malt and holiday spices. Taste of toasted malt, pumpkin, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a bit of warming alcohol. Finishes toasty with a creamy soft carbonation. This is what a pumpkin beer should be! A nice example. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 13, 2009 apricot color, no head, lacy. nose of sweet malt, spice, and of course, pumpkin. mouth of creamy pumpkin flavor, nutmeg, other spices. creamyy mouth feel, medium bodied, lightly bitter hop finish. a pretty good spice/veggie beer, a style for which i do not have much care. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2009 Thick, rich pumpkin ale. Beautiful copper color and nice aroma. I find the cinnamon a bit too much in this one, but otherwise a fine ale. Jsawyer (282), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2009 Bottle. Poured transparent copper with a medium off-white effervescent head. Aroma was just like a malty pumkin pie; allspice, cloves, cinnamon, some nutmeg, notes of brown sugar, pumkin and slight hints of bubblegum. Flavor is mellow and creamy pumkin pie with aforementioned spices and with a hint of coffee as it warmed. Palate was creamy, slightly warming, and well balanced.
