This is the beer that got me into craft beer. I have been away in Afghanistan for almost a year and missed the fall season of beer last year. I was super pumped to get a 4 pack of this and try it out. Let me tell you what though, after having a hundred or so craft beers this one just doenst hold up. It is still a decent beer but not like what I first experienced after getting off the BMC wagon. Nice amber color, spices in the aroma. Nice brown ale with some underlying pumpkin flavors. Much better than most pumpkin ales, but I think Pumpking is the KING!

Pours no head on a clear straw body. The aroma is pumpkin pie with lots of spices. The taste is mildly sweet. The texture is creamy and soft. It’s fine.

Aroma of nutmeg, all spice and pumpkin. A clear pour with a white head that dissipates quickly. Taste is more spice and nutmeg. Palate is light bodied. Overall, a good ale, to be honest though I expected more from this brewery, but that says a lot.

I have had this about four years ago and it reminded me of pumpkin pie. I could taste all the typical flavors and now, not so much. It's still good but not as amazing as I remember. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amazing spicy aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg. Color leaves a bit to be desired, light straw red with minimal head. Taste is nice spicy, pumpkin with clove, cinnamon and hints of citrus. Pumpkin flavor is good, subtle. Overall a really nice fall beer

Pours dark Amber with a tan head that fades. Aroma of cinnamon and slight pumpkin spice. Initial taste of spices with a slight slight pumpkin taste. The pumpkin builds on the tongue after swallowing. One of the few pumpkin beers that I can have a whole glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Mild pumpkin spice aroma. Clear brown body with no head. Again mild pumpkin spice aroma. Clean, smooth and mild on the palate. Has an understated quality.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Half finger off white head dissapears fairly quickly. Aroma is good. Light notes of pumpkin with moderate notes off cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is lightly malty with some cinnamon and nutmeg and a little pumpkin. Carbonation is average. Nice easy finish. A well balanced pumpkin ale. Certainly a pumpkin ale on the maltier end with a good amount of spice but far from overdone. Very enjoyable.
