Coats the mouth quite well and the alcohol warmth is added character to this beer. Reminiscent of pumpkin but not overpowering or gross. Tmoney99 (4808), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 7, 2005 Bottle 12 oz. Pours an orange dark amber color with a moderate off-white head that diminished quickly. Complex spicy pumpkin aroma. Medium body with creamy texture. Good complex flavor of a liquid pumpkin pie. Very interesting and good brew. TheBeerOrg (1595), Kentucky, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Pours bright orangish amber with a mostly receding tan head. Aroma of mulling spices: nutmeg, cinnamon, and maybe a hint of pumpkin, although that is clearly suggested by the name. Taste is lightly sweet, with nuts, spices, and toffee abound. Mouthfeel is full bodied, lightly sticky yet still refreshing with lively carbonation. A very nice medium between a fall spiced ale and a brown ale. I will buy this one again. lamas (737), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 28, 2005 Bottle. Pours a copperish-orange with small off-white head. Aroma is of hops, pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is definitely not overwhelmingly pumpkin. Medium-bodied. The spices sting the tongue. Pumpkin and cinnamon are present but more subtle than other pumpkin ales I’ve had. Finish is on the hoppy side with the slightest touch of warming alcohol. zug4abby (287), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2005 This was an oddly enjoyable beer. Poured an amber color with a small head and medium lacing. I love pumpkin pie and this beer tasted just like it. With strong nutmeg and cinnamon aromas and tastes. I don’t think I could drink more than one beer in a sitting, but enjoyable nonetheless. walter (359), Staunton, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 1, 2005 Bottle. Deep orange/amber color with little head. Strong nose of nutmeg, very fresh, some general pumpkin pie spice, and a good bit of actual pumpkin as well-- a nice treat in a pumpkin ale, go figure. Medium body, carbonation seemed a little low, with flavors of all of the above, the nutmeg adding a welcome spicy heat. Manages a sweet pumpkin flavor without being candylike. Wouldn’t want to have this all the time, but when those first few 40 degree evenings roll around, this is fine company. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 8, 2008 12oz bottle, marked 8/9/07. Pours clearish orangish color with a very thin 1/4" head. Much less spicy smelling than the year old bottle. Still get a little spice and a little pumpkin but definitely not as much. Again, much less spice on the nose. But I think its better that way. More sweetness in the spice and a more sweet pumpkin taste. Thin and crisp palate. Much more drinkable than the 1 year old bottle... mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA

The brew was a nice deep brown color with a small tan head. All the necessary flavors and aromas to make a good pumpkin ale were present, Pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar.
