Smooth and flavorful, with a hint of spice. A solid full-bodied ale with a sweet and malty taste. Flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg come through loud and clear with a moderate alcoholic finish that is warming. Very enjoyable! grandet (486), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

Full bodied. The smell is of pumpkin, brown sugar, and spices such as nutmeg. Very smooth smelling for a 7 percent beer. The taste is just amazing! Another beer from dogfish and I’m not disappointed! Reminds me of a pumpkin pie without the whipped cream. I love the fall! All the best beers come out! Sam Adams Oktoberfest and now Dogfish Head Pumpkin Ale. triguy84 (74), Fitchburg, Wisconsin, USA

A great recover over the 2004 tap one I had in DE. The spices were well balance and it was great after mowing the lawn or right next to the bed on a cool autumn night. Still do not open a meal with it because the spice will set the meal off.
