I do not like allspice very much - take that out, but leave the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and this could be a real winner. I think that the allspice gives any beer an unpleasant aftertaste. Not bad though, and the ABV is well dealt wiith.

Bottle. Clear golden brown. Light pumpkin with heavy cinnamon and nutmeg. Not bad but nothing special. I wouldn't get this again. Bland overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not bad. Crisp, light pumpkin taste at the end. Aftertaste slightly tarty, but tolerable.

Pours clear medium amber, thick creamy white finger plus head, thin lacing. Aroma pumpkin, toasted malt, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, slight spicy hop note, very faint soapy aroma. Taste pumpkin and toasted malt dominate, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, slight noble hop and that very faint soapy note found in nose even a little iodine, there may be an oxidation issue with this bottle. Mouthfeel thinner side of medium body, low carbonation, sweet finish. Overall I love this beer, I do not remember the flaws in it this bottle has, there must have been an issue, Iím rating it on a non-issue bottle.

Bottle. A: Semi clear brown and orange. Foamy off-white head. Some lacing. N : Pumpkin, nutmeg, all-spice, malt and biscuit. Hop presence includes peppercorn and pine. Not overly flavorful. T: Mildly sweet and bitter. M: Medium body with a bigger carbonation than expected. O: For all the adjuncts, there sure isnít much flavor to this one. Did they change the recipe when they changed the label? Dunno, bit it seemed better the first time I had it. A pale ale with squash.

Finally a pumkin beer that doesnít suck. Okay so I am late on this one. This has been out forever and yes Iíve never give it a chance. Itís excellent. Itís very spicy, very cinnamon forward very awesome. This makes me think of pumpkin pie in October. Taste is the same. Very spicy, lots of pumpkin, cinnamon, cardamom, just really October. This is the best pumpkin beer out there.

A great pumpkin beer for those that are turned off by absolute spice bombs. It's balanced but still clearly tastes as you'd expect. I enjoy it.

Pour is copper in color, thin white head. Aroma is allspice, very slight pumpkin, and caramel malts. Taste is dominated by spice. Not much else on the palate. Hugely disappointing.

Usually donít go for pumpkin beers but this one is one of the best Iíve tried (again, not my thing so I havenít tried that many). The spices (nutmeg, allspice) are nicely balanced and the pumpkin isnít overwhelming. Almost more sweet potato-ish. I like that itís more natural tasting instead of artificial like I find most pumpkin beers to be. Good stuff.
