$5 bottle at Freikoten. Darker brown than, say, the Atom Smasher I just had, but cleaner, too. A thin head with a bit of persistence. Of course it smells of the stated sugar and spices, but does not overwhelm. Taste may still lean a little heavily on spices. Pumpkin is present as a slight squash taste, probably overmatched by malt fermentables. It is a little bit sticky. Slightly elevated abv plays a part in the good feeling this leaves.

Bottle from Bethesda Food and Beverage. Orange body with slight head. Nose is herbal, spicy, a bit dank. Taste is herbs, spices, sweet as well. Caramel notes. Okay. Pumpkin taste too.

Good Pumpkin Ale. Had this on draft. Probably would have tasted better with some fall spices ie. Cinnamon, Clove, etc.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper body under a small fizzy off-white head that faded quickly to a thin ring. The nose is rather spicy with some cinnamon, nutmeg, just a little pumpkin. Smells like itís going to be a bit sweet, a fairly heavy caramel note. The flavor is just about as spicy, so much so that it burns the tongue with the cinnamon. Itís tempered a bit by the sweetness in the middle, but the finish really plays up the spice. Medium bodied and a bit clingy with fizzy carbonation. Meh, itís about on par with most middle of the road pumpkin beers.

This is a pumpkin beer that I (and others, from who Iíve talked to) will anticipate being released every year. The pumpkin is done perfectly and the beer itself is a perfect combination of spicy and sweet.

Bottle (12 oz) at home. 2014, so 1 year old. Clear orangey golden with a small persistent white ring of foam leaving little lacing. Aroma is of nutmeg, brown sugar cinnamon and rotten notes. Taste is slightly sweet, but mostly overly spicy and quite a bit cloying because of that. Brown sugar and nutmeg forward. Not much else is showing up. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. A bit oily. Cinnamon and nutmeg finish. Another swilly Pumpkin beer.

This is a very good pumpkin beer. I like that it isn't too sweet or overpoweringly pumpkin.

Pours a clear copper color with a tan head. Aromas of pumpkin and pie spices. Flavor the same with some malty sweetness. A little alcohol warmth at the finish. Light to medium mouth feel. No noticable lacing in the glass. Nice flavors for a pumpkin ale.
