Nice blend of hop and light fruit flavors; the flavor and alcohol are well-balanced. Dedoulequeen07 (116), london, Greater London, England Oct 7, 2008 Bottle at Chris O’s party shack. V surprised that i actually liked this. Normally dogfish has 2 much alcohol goin on but this is quite well hidden. Good sweet, christmasey dark fruit character with hints of port and candy sugar. Tiny bursts of fruit in every sip. V like! Hansen (1780), Randers, Denmark Oct 6, 2008 Medium amber coloured. Clear. Has a light brown head, mostly lasting. Starts malty and sweet, finish mainly bitter, some yeasty notes too. Perhaps a note of alcohol. scrycer (5), USA does not count Oct 4, 2008 Aroma of raisins and brown sugar. Dark amber color, tiny head. The initial taste seems quite average and straightforward, but after you swallow all these beautiful little tastes phase in and out. Very good--after you swallow.
