12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty and slight hoppy. Sweet, phenolic and caramelish. Light bitterness coming through. Rather bitter to the raisin and overripe fruit notes. Dry fruity and bitter finish.

A clear red beer with a fine head. The aroma is yeasty with notes of earth and spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, plums, and prunes. And the body is good.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a very pretty amber with a small, off-white head. Very rich, sweetish caramel aroma. Full-bodied with lots of caramel malt and some almost vinous, sherry-like accents. Disstinct sweetness but never cloying. Very subdued bitterness. 280306

I bought this bottle in a beershop in London. It pours a hazy mahogany colour with a off-white head. The head disappears quickly though, leaving just a thin rim. It has a malty and sweet aroma. Some hint of alcohol in the aroma aswell. The taste is malty and sweet from the sugar and some hints of raisins. The mothfeel is smooth and warming. But you can not taste the alcohol.

6th June 2008. Rich malty brown beer. Undertone of rich fruit is well integrated. No obvious raisin flavour. A bit different!

Beautiful dark amber color; thin head. Nice aroma of malt, caramel, light phenol and pine. Good malty taste, chewy, too sweet; a strange feeling of paper. Correct bitterness. Good without being excellent, quite simple.
Thanks Philippe (Bov) for this bottle.
