Duft af rund karamel, rugbrød og egetræ. Mørk kastanjeFarve. Rosiner, træfad, karamel, sødlig og let røget som et cigarhumidor. Moderat bitterhed men det er maltkompleksiteten der trækker læsset. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2010 bottle found cleaning out the rot closet. Pours a very murky brown color with minimal head. Big malty aroma, hints of dark fruit caramel and toffee. More the same in the flavor with a bit of boost in the finish. Slight bitterness.

On tap poured a clear reddish hue w/ med creamy lasting cap and thick lacing. Medium malty aroma. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a moderate bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are red table wine. Light to medium bodied with a light sour in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the archives: Somewhere in the USA. Malty, strong and yeasty - everything as promised. I really miss Dogfish beer.

Nice burnt sugar/malty aroma. Brown appearance with a lasting tan head. Taste was of light malt, raisins, and totally overwhelmed by the beet sugar. The beet sugar taste was just to strong in my opinion. Also pretty thin and watery on the palate.

Bottle. Dark brown-red. Small light brown head. Aroma has cherry and citrus. Taste has cherry, grain and sour red berry. Bitter body. A lot like a red wine, with some beer attributes, notably carbonation. Interesting, yet not that good a beer when you get to the gist of it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very different brew with a raison/grape taste, its more like a wine and beer mixed, not horrible really just too much of a wine feel for me

Most overrated bitter piece of swill I ever has the misfortune to buy. Waste of ten bucks. All you so called beer experts are loony. You all probably hate this beer but rate it high like sheep because this is the current brewery in fashion.

Bottle. Pours dark copper with a tan head that dissipates quickly to a thin cap. Aroma is caramel and raisin along with a earthy, musty component; also a bit metallic. Taste is sugary sweet with the raisin flavor coming through complemented by the caramel. Alcohol is present is the taste. Finish is slightly bitter and dry. Carbonation was crisp and the body medium. Interesting beer, but probably not a regular for me.
