Perfect points all around on this one. One of its key ingredients is green raisins, and they certainly sweeten the mix. But not too sweet, mind you. Easy to get into and enjoy from start to finish.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2006 Beautiful mohagany color and with some nice bubbles. Taste is sweet, but bold. I love this beer and to me it’s the best marriage of wine and beer that I have ever tasted. Truly in a league all it’s own. Goes great with raisin bran.

Complex and delicious. Coffee, fruity, a little oak, lots of molasseses, very heavy. Heavy alcohol content means watch how many you have, and they’re certainly filling to the point where they make a wonderful snack. Very recommended, one of my favorite beers.

Bottle. This is it. Original. Complex. Balanced. Art. I was scared of trying any beer that said it was brewed with raisins. Boy I was surprised. This is a complex mohogany ale. Want something different? This is a masterpeice!

whew this is a good one. A nice little buzz is present after I drink this. I like rasion taste and it is filling. I really like the sweet and tart complexity and how it offsets the two ends of the flavor spectrum. In plain english buy this beer! It was a little bit of a shock on first taste as it is strong but as it warms it gets easier to drink. Definitly sip this one though, the flavor is too good not to.

Sweet, than spicy. This brew was very good. Complex and hits nice on the palate. Another great brew from Dogfish Head.

This beer has a great flavor unmatchable by most american beers. The smell alone is outstanding as well as the color. I wish it was available in more locations

I think this might qualify for a barleywine. An amazing concoction. Sweet and complex, with hints of chocolate in the aroma and flavor (but none in the ingredient list, as far as I know). High alcohol content doesn’t show until the very last sip. Very drinkable. As the bottle says, it is mahogany colored - very nice looking. Its time to make a trip to Lewes, DE.

This is definitely a unique brew, dark brown in color, very sweet aroma, complex flavoring, could definitely taste the raisins in the brew, rich malty flavors & in the aftertaste, wonderful brew

This beer is a original creation. You cannot compare it to anything else on the shelf. It is sweet, fruity, and balanced with hops. The flavors are not tose of normal brewing styles. It seems Belgium influenced, but find a brew that compares to it...you can't. Enjoy!
