DTM (329), Winters, California, USA Mar 26, 2008 Poured a copper color. Tasted of raisins and plums. No hops to speak of. Smooth of the palate, but lacked a little bit of flavor, and body compared to other belgian strong ales. Very drinkable beer.
douglas88 (652), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle from the Clark Street Ale House in Chicago. Pours a dark brown color with a thin white head. The aroma was mostly roasted notes, and raisins. The taste was full of sweet burnt sugars and malts, some chocolate and a bit of plum. Very nice. Underhook (65), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Jul 26, 2008 Dark mahogany with a slight purple tint. Smells good but not a strong nose. Tastes of raisins and dark fruits. phishpond417 (1162), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jul 21, 2008 Pours a deep mahogany colour with a faint, barely noticeable white top. Aroma is faint raisins, little oak, but particularly nutty. Mouthfeel is creamy, light and pleasent. Artichokes!! Carmel, carmel apples, toffe sweet potatoe and almonds. CaryTheDude (114), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Jul 19, 2008 I wouldn’t say this particular beer is my exact reason for being. Beer in general and boobs have that classification, but this is definitely decent and well made. Gets an aight approval. greenhorn1 (359), Eugene, Oregon, USA Jul 15, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with a creamy, medium carbonation. Aroma and flavor is of sweet maltiness, raisins, brown sugar. I like the candied sugars and the sweetness it brings, but not overpowering. Complex and a medium mouthfeel. Alcohol is undetectable. Great beer.
