3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from Bottle into Pint glass.
Pours a deep caramel that glows with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma has many earthy notes, maybe some brown sugar and some tart fruit? There is quite a bit going on in the aroma but I canít pin down all of the scents. The flavor upfront is dried fruits with some bitterness immediately. There is a moderate warming that tells you the alcohol is there. There is also some caramel and earthly hops in the flavor that become apparent as it warms up. Its a medium-heavy bodied beer that is a bit syrupy. Overall it really isnít terribly difficult to drink although I probably wouldnít seek it out again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Drank from the bottle. Dark sugar, belgian yeast, raisin and figs make up the taste profile. Pretty decent brew.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a good size beige head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is malty and caramel with a slight hint of raisins. Medium sweet taste that hides the 8% ABV nicely. Goes down smoothly and a nice finish. I liked this one and would have it again and again. Good Job Dogfish Head.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Pours clear dark brown with thin head. Aroma big caramel/sweet choco/coffee. Flavor driven by medium foamy body, sweet, choco and syrupy smooth. Sweetness mellows in a well behaved way to a smooth even aftertaste. Overall this is too sweet a beer for me/ but does not lack character.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Amberbruin, nauwelijks schuim. Moutig, licht gebrand. Bitterzoet. Waterig, weinig body. Niet speciaal in deze stijl.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A really interesting brew for one also so drinkable, this beverage will certainly skew your perception of other beers.
The apparent plum raisin character isn't overbearing, but present in sufficient quantity. Pleasant mouthfeel, but the malts seem somewhat out of balance
