Pours dark hazy copper with one finger head. Aromas of strong raisin, coffee, and dark fruit. Flavor is strong- intense raisin with chocolate and dark fruit evident. Notes of brandy and alcohol noticeable as well. Palate is sweet and coats the mouth with redsidual sugar. Finish is wet and moderately cloying. But overall quite enjoyable.

12 oz bottle. Nothing subtle about the aroma, very potent, grapes, raisons, roasty mocha chocolate, grain alcohol, brown sugar, cinnamon, bread. Pours with very soft white head, dissapates to nothing, murky, thick, particles, copper brown. Very fruity start with wine grapes and raison, then some brown sugar, red fruit, semi spicy finish along with the grape/raison, lot of alcohol, burns the back of the throat a bit, but pretty light in body suprisingly. Very intense experience, could almost pour shots of this, very happy to have drank it, but prefer the more mellow etre.

12oz bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark mahogany color with one finger tan head that settles quickly but still provides lacing on the glass. Aroma is ripe grapes and raisins, prunes, phenol, musty wood. Flavor is ripe dark fruit, prunes, red wine (like pinot noir), aged wood. As it warms, it resembles a port wine. Full-bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel and a strong alcohol finish. Good but strong. Share with friends.

2008 ACBF from the bottle. This one is interesting. Intense. I don’t think I coulda handled anything more than the 2 oz. sample that i had, but it’s tasty, and the raisins are definitely pronounced.

Bottle purchased at Chicones in Hudson, WI. Dirty brown pour with essentially no head. Aroma is sweet. Reminds me of some of the Goose Island belgians. Very sweet raisin flavor. A touch cloying. A decent sipper. Better as it warms up.

Bottle, thanks to TURDFERGUSON! Pours clear copper with a lacy pale yellow head. Aroma of raisins, grapes, figs. Creamy full body, with surprisingly active carbonation. Sweet taste of grapes, brown sugar, raisins, citrus, and a touch of chocolate. Spicy and almost dry finish. I’d really like to see them back off the carbonation on this one.

This is a massive brew. Raisin, caramel, herb hops, resin, grapefruit, molasses, and thick. Full bodied and quite sweet with rather low carbonation. i am not a big fan of the syrupy feel and alcohol robustness.
