2006 Bottle. Cherry brown with very thin head. Brown sugar, maple and alcohol aroma. Pure sweetness in the taste. Tons of sweet, dark fruit and just way too sweet to enjoy much of. A little tobacco. Man...this should come in 2 oz bottles.

2006 bottle: Hazy amber pour with a fluffy tan head. Sweet caramel nose notes hay, oranges, golden raisons, ether and plums. The body is sickly sweet, like drinking straight sugar water. Wow. Some honey and caramel notes add complexity to the raison-sugar-water. An interesting beer that is probably fun to brew, but in the end this comes off too sweet and lacking complexity.

Pours clear copper with a light tan head that quickly turns into a ring of bubbles. Raisins, brown sugar, candy corns, and malt in the nose. Rich flavor of raisins and caramel, highly alcoholic, and that boubon flavor. Could use some hops to take the sweetness down a little.

Very strong and powerful in the aroma as well as in the taste. Copper brown color with a thin tan colored head. Flavor was full of malt, heavy fruits (figs and raisens), with a touch of whiskey alcohol flavors. Potent.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle at the Magic dave6 shindig at Chris O’s.
Dark amber with a very reddish hue and a slim off white head. The heady alcohol percentage is totally obvious where as the raisins are just about noticeable. Delicate malt rounds off a reasonable aroma. Flavour wise it’s just way too much for me. Extremely sweet and fiercely alcoholic. Lots of burn, far too much to be enjoyable. Raisins, dates, figs and other fruit that looks horrible and probably taste similar. Not my thing. I can’t get past the heavy sweetness and alcohol.

Bottle huge thanks to mes and sim for bringing it over despite the fact she was super hungover. Alround a huge beer fruity noteable alcohol burn but still quite drinkable.

Bottle: Poured a reddish brown with a small off white head. The aroma is sweet with fruit and some veggie earth to it. Taste is very sugary fruit with plenty of alcohol as it filters through my senses fast. Very impressive and glad boboski added into my trade.

12oz. bottle, at least a few years old. At first sniff I knew this would be an ass kicker. Pours a headless, and nearly flat reddish brown. Very viscous and thick. Aroma is of dark candi sugar, dark fruits, and plenty of alchol. Very brandy like. Flavor is sweet caramel, vinous fruits, with a warming but not burning hot finish. Palate is rather full bodied and oily. Definitely an extreme brew that is more of a novelty than anything else. I agree that this needs a pairing of some sort to cut the sweetness.
