Like everyone states below, alcohol is well hidden. Overwhelming raison being and, well, I don’t really know what else is going on here. Worth experiencing once. DFH knows how to pack a powerful brew between this, the 120 IPA, and WW stout. Well Done! blklab2007 (955), Connecticut, USA

Clear, copper-colored, with no head, except for some beige bubbles. Sweetness, port, alcohol, malt and raisins in the quite vinous aroma. Alcohol, raisins and caramel in the flavor. It is quite heavy, but a little less complex than the aroma I think. Long, warming finish. Full body. There’s too much alcohol in it to drink a lot of it, and it is quite sweet as well, but it would go down easily as a nigt-cap or like a warming beer at the end of the winter or early spring. | 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Jun 16, 2007 Bottle. Hazy red color and very thin head. No observed carbonation. Fruity sweet aroma definitely featuring raisins but melon as well. Little bit of malt but no hop aroma in this one. Flat syrupy palate tht makes me desire some water to chase the gunkiness. Some eccentric styles are better off in brewers basements and left off the commercial market - this is one of them. Way, way, way, too sweet and alcohol taste only a 12 stepper would appreciate. Reminds me of my mispent youth drinking Cisco and MD 20/20 until I puked. Raison D Extra - Never D’Again.
