drainey (231), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 18, 2007 Bottle. Copper body with almost no head. Sweet malty aroma of what I suppose is raisins. Flavor is quite sweet and syrupy, full of raisins and baking bread, with just a note of carbonation. Hides the alcohol well, but you can tell its strong. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark May 17, 2007 Københavnske Øldage 07. Copper. The aroma is heavy and sweet, vinous with notes of raisin, malt, port wine. The flavour is just as heavy and has notes of raisin, dark fruits, candy sugar, port wine among other notes. The 18,5% is hidden pretty well, but this beer is too heavy and compact, and a bit cloying in it’s sweetness. 2129 pet3rman (206), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA May 17, 2007 Big Malty Raisen taste with some bitterness.. The maltiness and syrup texture is like that of the 120 minute. Hides the alcohol just like it’s hoppy brother. henrikb (1298), Aarhus, Denmark May 17, 2007 Deep amber red body with a yellowish small bubbled head; Very intense almost condensed sweet malty raisin like US BW nose; Very intense also condensed like bitter super sweet body; Long, long intense BW like aroma, almost to intense. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark May 17, 2007 Bottle @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. Clear medium amber color with a small fizzy virtually none off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy alcohol, dry fruit, rasin, sweet. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration, good balance. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is heavy alcoholic. Theis (3617), Denmark May 16, 2007 Bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2007. Clear dark amber - offwhite head. Lots of dried dark fruits, raisins, prunes, plums, caramel, high sweetness. But also very high alcoholic afterburn. A bit too much !! Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark May 16, 2007 Bottle @ Copenhagen Øl Festival. Small off-white head that mostly diminished. Spar lacing. Light cloudy golden color. Very fruity notes with some caramel and honey. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation and a light alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavor. Very sweet and light warming finish. sunevdj (1765), Copenhagen OE, Denmark May 15, 2007 Ølfestival 2007. Bottled. Pours a clear orange/brown with an off-white head. Harsh sweetness with heavy bready aromas. Also dired fruits and The strong alcohol flavor gives it a not-so-smooth-at-all touch.
