Super interesting. Had a 12 oz bottle from 03/15/07. Color is a deep reddish brown with a yellow head. Aroma and flavor are both very intense and totally raisin. The taste is strong and a bit dry and both flavor and aroma are very reminiscent of a port. Like I said this is an interesting brew, not one that you will want to drink everyday, but definitely worth a shot.

Aroma of malt, raisin and fig. Belgian yeast, sweet finish but not overly sweet. Quite nice and balanced for how strong it is. Lots of flavor and complex. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3/16/2015. 12 oz. bottle. Red brown with a thin tan head. Sweet aromas of dried fruit. A significant alcohol burn, raisins, molasses, honey and malt. A little too hot for me.

Pours a murky brown with not much head. Sooo much raisin in the nose. This beer is a definite sipper. Heavy dark fruit presence and the alcohol is there, and at 18%, that’s not surprising. Solid offering, and definitely what I would call a "meal beer".

(12 onces. Vintage 2014.)

Slight tan bubbles. No lacing. Caramel and date aroma. Boozy caramel taste with dark stone fruit.

Solid dark opaque color. Thick aroma of figs, raisins, yeast, bread, spice and booze. Flavor is a god balance of booze and dark fruits. Tastes a little like a fire, roasted and warm. Good earthy presence as well. Alcohol does NOT feel like 18.5.

Sweet and delicious, slightly syrupy. Dates, raisins and prunes. Tasty, sipper, enjoy

Pours a dark ruby red, with a thin off-white head that stays long. Sparse lacing. Nose is intense boozy dried fruits and taffy. Taste is boozy and sweet, but there’s a nice bitter undercurrent that carries through to the aftertaste. Very nice, nuanced brew! I’m a fan.

Bottle pour at home, thanks Andrew for shearing. dark red wine pour, smells of brandy, surprisingly smooth beer for how it smells, sharp taste of raison right off the bat with a little plum, taste barrel aged but its not, and probably would be even better if it was. but still solid.

12 oz bottle pour split. Pours a ruby color with no head. Pure booze, liquor aroma. I thought this was going to be a booze bomb, but it actually ended up drinking really nicely. Smooth raisin, plum flavor. It has a little booze flavor to it, but what the hell, the ABV is higher than I can count in Spanish. This beer isn’t bad. If you can get over the fact that it smells like something that removes gum off your leather seats, and just drink it, it’s pretty good stuff. I’ll drink this again.
