Pours a nice, small head. whiteish head. Doesn’t stay around of long. Amber color. Raisin and alcohol smell. Malty. WOW! Malty, sweet, raisins. The alcohol is just all I taste. Not really that well balanced, just, wow, isn’t like any other beer I had before.

Bottle. Pours hazy red with a yellow head. Strong aroma, a bit sweet, with raisin and a bit of booze. Flavor is also sweet and fruity, with raisin, brown sugar and again, just a bit of booze. Very easy to drink for 18.5% ABV.

12 oz bottle, purchased sometime in mid-2007 (date lost to the winds). Pours a deep red-brown color with a small light tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is alcohol, malts, raisins and other dried fruits. Flavor is strong warming alcohol, with dried fruit - raisins. Enjoyable, but certainly only a once-in-a-while kind of beverage as I’d probably rather just drink Raison D’Etre.

Pours red-orange, cloudy, with a small yellowish head. Alcohol, apricot, malt, and raisin are evident on the nose. Flavor is sweet, with candied orange peel, sweet malt, raisin, and a definite alcohol bite, due to the high ABV. Nice prickly mouthfeel, very nice brew.
