Dogfish Head Red and White

It pours out a very nice dark, amber color. It is pretty opaque but you see a very interesting residue fall down the glass after the pour. It also produced a very nice, foamy head. It had the very strong scent of wine and it also had a orange-y smell. The beer was mixed with citrus fruits so this doesn’t come as a surprise. there was even more presence of the orange in the taste and it had a high-acid taste like orange juice. It finished off with red wine taste that was very classy. It had a pretty smooth texture with a tart finish - very reminiscent of red wine.

Poured a reddish-amber with an off-white head. Aromas of cherry, coriander, and a general spicyness. Flavors of cherry tartness and caramel sweetness join together with a spicy, yeasty base to form a pretty nice melting pot of flavors. Highly carbonated. This beer really lets you know it’s there.

Pours exactly what you would think something that’s called Red & White would - a light reddish color with an off-white head. The aroma is that of a nice white wine, with hints of blueberries, oranges, and strawberries. The taste is a little different than I would expect, diluted orange vodka. Not to say that this is a bad thing, but when something is called Red & White I don’t exactly think of oranges. This brew is relatively smooth with an initial sweet orange taste followed by a bitter white wine aftertaste.

Pours a orangish copper color with lots of haze (floaters) and a foamy white head. Aroma of orange, spice and caramel. Taste of the wit comes though in terms of the coriander, yeast, orange and carbonation - but balanced nicely by the blend. This is a nice beer that packs a wallop in terms of ABV - glad I don’t have to drive since I plan on finishing this bottle by myself tonight. Good times.

Part of a back log. Bottle. This was quite and experience. Nice citrus flavors like orange and corriander marry well with a deeper caramel and fruit. Surprisingly thick, but not to the point of being sticky as is sometimes the case with wines.

750 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, lasting, ligth beige head, with lovely lacing over a clear, between the floculated yeast floaters, amber (SRM 9) body, .....nose has caramel, toffee, dried cherry, raisin....taste has ginger, sweet toffee, caramel, finishing slightly bitter, with a final twang of woody terpenes and tannins....mouth feel is thick chewy, sensuous, carbonation tiny bubbled and creamy. The alcohol is not totally hidden but adds to the final sensation. This is great beer, and obviously adds to the brewery’s reputation.

Hazy yellowish pour, good head. wit brew ...spicey, fruity Big flavor here....intense coriander, alcohol pushing through but not overpowering. Full bodied..spritzy carbonation. Smooth. Wish this came in 12 oz bottles.

Pours hazy amber with a creamy white head. Nose is fruit, spice, yeast. Flavor is belgian spice, fruit, and caramel. The end is bready with a hint of alcohol. Better than expected.
