Commercial Description:
A big, Belgian-style Wit brewed with coriander and orange peel and fermented with Pinot Noir juice. After fermentation a fraction of the batch is aged in Oregon Pinot Noir barrels, and another fraction is aged on oak staves. The beer is blended together before packaging. This has been one of our most popular Limited Edition beers at both our Rehoboth Beach, DE brewpub and at festivals. It successfully marries the refreshing citrusy qualities of a Belgian-style white beer with the robust complexity of a bold red wine.

Bottle, shared w/ danielcurtis81. Poured in white wine glass. Stong aroma and taste. Wheat side comes through well as does the wine-like character. Taste improves immensly as this one warms. Fruit comes out well in the end. Not bad, not great.

Bottle: Hazy orange pour with a thin head. Aroma is floral and fruity with some light spices. Tastes spicey with some bananas, esters, and cloves. A very light amount of grape. Not really picking up on any barrel notes. Sort of boring, but still ok.

Light ambr with a very small skin of a head. Slightly sour saison like aroma. Busy multiple angle flavor. Undefine muddy flavor profile. Modrate carbonation. Underwelming.

Bottle shared with GregClow, Hogtown Harry, Jerc, Blankboy, and Garthicus, courtesy of Harry. Blood red, rusty, good sized frothy white head. Fruity aroma, some alcohol, ok. Good taste - very fruity, hoppy even, some alcohol. Lightly spiced as well. Good.

Bottle. A lighter amber color then I expected from the description. First sips are overpowered by the Belgian yeasts, admittedly not my favorite to start out with. Fruity flavors build as does the sweetness. A few hints of oak but not much of the pinot comes through.

750 ml bottle. Pours a amber with a slight pink hue to it. No head, light carbonation. Aroma is sweet with subtle hints of oak and citrus. Flavor is complex, oak, wine, citrus, dark fruits, etc. Creamy mouthfeel with a medium body. Slight alcohol presence. Nice sipping beer.

Bottle, courtesy of redlight. Pours a slightly hazy red/amber with a thin white head that quickly faded to the edge. On the nose strawberries, sweet, wine and sugar. Flavor is quite sweet, some grapes, wine and some grape skin tannins are apparent in the aftertaste. A little thick in the mouth. Overall impression is very sweet and heavy.

Pours a decent hazy apreicot hue with a decent off white head. The nose is all kinds of sugars and a touch of yeast. The flavor goes way sweet with honey and too much sugar, even for my sweet tooth.
