Aroma of floral yeasts, spice, fruit, and wheat. Taste is also of wheat, spice, & yeast. Fruit is both citrus and non-citrus, maybe an influence from the pinot. This is much like a wit, though a little more complex. Finishes dry and slightly bitter. Overall a nice brew to have on tap. tnkw01 (178), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

White head that leaves at a steady quick pace. Overall, highly recommended. JB175 (1662), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2008 February 2007 bottle - I finally decided to crack one open and I’m not sure why I waited. This one pours a pretty pinkish-red color with a white head. Aroma is quite woody with some vinous/orange/spice mix that is very intriguing. Taste has a nice oaky essence that overrides (not in a dominating way) the winey-citrus flavors that appear throughout. The yeast is Belgian, but the wood is pure American goodness. Solid and tannic mouthfeel - I wanted to like the taste a little better, but its still a fine beer. One of the better DFH experiments........ ratman197 (3182), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Another winner from Dogfish Head. Nice aroma and a beautiful amber pour with a lot of floaters. Small lacing head. Taste is sweet with a hop presence along with some typical Belgian spices. Alcohol warms the throat on the way down. Similar to Victory’s Golden Monkey. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 5, 2008 750 ml bottle. Pours a reddish-amber color with moderate head. This one smells like a typical Belgian white ale, with a hint of earthiness. Flavor: Orange peel, Pinot Noir (duh), mild spices, with a fizzy alcohol finish. I’ve been waiting to try this one for quite some time, and it’s lived up to my expectations. jcr (1148), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2008 750ml bottle. Bottled 2/9/07. Almost as sweet as a dessert wine, this beer was a nice sipper. Hazy, copper body with an average, frothy white head. Aroma of white grape, orange, apple and alcohol. The flavor was heavily sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. Lively carbonation. Medium body and watery texture. Slightly alcoholic in the finish.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Pours a golden to reddish color with a small white bubbly head. Lots of carbonation in this one. Aroma of spices, banana citrus, yeast and malt. Flavor of banana, malt, sugars, fruit, caramel, yeast, bread and some wine at the end. There’s a lot going on with this beer, and it’s actually pretty good. Hides the 10% alcohol quite well.
