It’s sweet and malty with notes of fruit, some toffee and peperry notes of alcohol. Meidum to full bodied, slightly numbing on the tongue and warming. Acknud (772), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Poured a translucent pinkish red color with no white head. Smells like pinot noir (surprise) and vanilla. Flavor is yeasty with touches of peanuts and a strong flavor of grapes. Soft finish, but very fizzy. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 17, 2007 Brought to C-U Beer Club by htsprint. Interesting beer. Oregon Pinot Noit is one of my favorite wines, so this held promise. Deep ruby/amber body beneath a small, foamy white head. Aroma was slightly fruity, notes of wood, slight evidence of the pinot, spice, yeast. Failry full bodied and a nice, smooth feel in the mouth. The flavor was more bitter than expected, vinous, fruity, with that spiciness of a Belgian strong. An interesting beer and something good to sit and sip. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark
