Pretty awesome beer. Had this one at Tabla with a Bass plate -- went quite well. Poured into bordeaux stemware, nice deep burgundy color. I agree that it doesn’t have a lot of pinot aroma, much more beer. Medium body, but never too sweet. Finishes with some red fruits. Impressive.

Bottle .. poured a light and bright shiny red with a sheen and a thin but staying white foam top. Given the ingredients of this, I’m a bit taken at the aroma ... quite "beery" .. like a light golden ale. And the flavor is not what I’d expected either. Light but fairly richly flavored, this carries mostly like a strong Belgian ... lightly sugary, bit of a Koolaid fruitiness, dry grapiness, with a very dry, moisture-sucking finish. Damn good. Pours a gorgeous red color with a lacy and quickly-dissipating head. The aroma is of red wine with a little earthy and spicy notes thrown in. The taste is malt with a grape aftertaste. Wow, I love this beer....the experiment is a success.

Aroma reminds me of a demi-sweet Mosel Riesling. Unfortunately not a good thing in my opinion. Hints of malt there too, though. Lovely red with a nice, but diminishing, head. Some clash of of malt and grapes but mainly some cloying malt sweetness. Interesting for sure and an idea worth pursuing, but I don’t really like it.

drank this bottle thanks to josh outside on our porch on a beautiful day with my beautiful girlfriend amy....and josh while some kids next door learned what can happen when you throw a baseball into your little brothers crotch as hard as you can.........it was great.....we had some cheese and stuff (no good with humbolt fog).......but yeah on to the beer...........reddish orange with a white head that leaves good lacing. solid coriander heavy wheat beer aroma meshed perfectly with lovely funky red wine raspberry notes. funky wheaty lemon citrus flavor with nice raspberry notes. tart raspberry finish with coriander and wheat notes. full body. well done interesting. could be amazing...........but something was just a bit off.....

That’s right, we drank it out or a travel coffe mug. WHAT OF IT!
Yeah, its red. The corriander was evidant from begining to end. As it warmed the Pinot Noir began to shine. Plenty of oak character as well.

750 ml bottle shared with Indra, csbosox and tjthresh initially in the parking lot of 75th Street brewery, then back at csbosox’s house. I believe it was Indra who asked, "you’re not actually going to rate this, are you?" as we were standing in the dark parking lot sipping this out of a travel coffee mug. Well, I guess this is my answer, though it did help to get it in a glass and light at Chris’s house. Pour is a ruby color with a very thin head. Aroma is the wine and oak, with a slight bit of coriander and spice. The taste is very big, lots going on there. Certainly get the pinot noir, the oak and the coriander, but there is floral and earth in it as well. All is blended well, and nothing is too dominant. Overall a very creative beer.

Pours a one-finger slight pinkish head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Clear copper amber color. Slight orange nose. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is complex, sweet at times, sour at times hints of orange. Slight orange peel finish.
