Sweet vinous nose with some cherry over-tones and light yeast. Flavor is soft wood with some Chardonnay notes. As it warms some light cherry notes become more present. Sweet finish with a good amount of warming alcohol. bp (455), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 4, 2009 Once I adjusted to this, it was a nice, compelling beer. You can definitely taste the pinot influence. Very fruity and very alcoholic nose. Commercial description is pretty accurate. dimenhetfield (173), , Florida, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 2, 2009 This is one interesting beer, as is the Black and Blue its counterpart. Has a great nose. Hints of orange peel and citrus, definitly on the fruity side. Hits the mounth with a nice little punch, but is not super overpowering. Skeegle (479), Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Has a nice bite a sweet spiciness to it. I liked the harshness of the pinot notes. Definitely very winey. I liked the tastes of fruits in this as they were very unripened red berries. Nice one. AGAquino (83), San Juan, Puerto Rico

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 24, 2009 750 in Chimay glass. Pinkish amber with ring and a little lace and couple floaters. Boozy woody sweet fruity aroma. Toffee fruity orange cough syrupy with bitter spicy bite and woody bitter mouth-coating syrupy finish. Full body. I’m always afraid of the Dogfish crazy ingredient beers. But in the end, they always taste like beer, just not especially pleasing beer. yayforbeer (647), Orange Park, Florida, USA
