COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A big, Belgian-style Wit brewed with coriander and orange peel and fermented with Pinot Noir juice. After fermentation a fraction of the batch is aged in Oregon Pinot Noir barrels, and another fraction is aged on oak staves. The beer is blended together before packaging. This has been one of our most popular Limited Edition beers at both our Rehoboth Beach, DE brewpub and at festivals. It successfully marries the refreshing citrusy qualities of a Belgian-style white beer with the robust complexity of a bold red wine.

Complex aroma of hops abduction liquor. Golden brown appearance. Full on the palate. Taste of herbs, White Ale, and red wine. Definitely worth trying. Great beer

Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of fruit, and some other hints, maybe some spices, maybe caramel. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and a hint of hops with a nice bittersweet finish. Like an Imperial Witbier.

bomber to tasting glasses poured a cloudy reddish color minimal white head. this is an old bottle so it may not truly be cloudy. wonderful nose of orange and grape with hints of coriander. the flavor held true on this one surprisingly for as old as this bottle was guessing 4-5 yrs old maybe more. but you definitely get the wit flavor the wheat the orange peel and wine. aged nicely and very good tasting.

Not too bad. I was expecting something more musty or yeasty. Can taste the slight oakiness from wine barrels. I'd have this one again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

So so strong. Cereal nose with some orange fruit. Bitter and dry. Lots of orange oil mixed with yeasty dryness, and a really intense booze/tart finish. Itís good but a bit much for me.

From the 750 ml. bottle. Bottled on 04/17/14. So over a year of aging. Nice orange-amber pour under a fizzy off-white head. Aromas of yeast, toasted malts, light sugar, coriander, orange, and red grape. No booze to speak of. The body is medium to better than medium but decently smooth. The taste echoes the aroma with a toastiness that graduates into a mild to moderate bitterness at the finish. Quite nice.

This is the worst Dogfish head beer Iíve ever had. Tastes like cough syrup (cherry). Maybe this bar gave me the wrong beer. Donít know why everyone else likes this.
