Sez One is a farmhouse style Saison brewed to welcome the coming of spring and warmer days. Saisons were traditionally brewed in the Wallonian region of Belgium on farms for the workers sustenance over the summer. These beers are intentionally dry and quaffable to be easily consumed in the summer heat without being too filling and inebriating. With that idea in mind, Sez One was brewed with all pilsner malt and generous amounts of Czech Saaz, Topaz from Australia, and Wakatu from New Zealand. It was then fermented with traditional Saison yeast and dry hopped with additional Topaz and Wakatu. Notes of tropical fruit and Sauvignon Blanc in the nose. Mellow acidity in the flavor with subtle fruit, fresh cut grass, white grape and earthy spice, and rich doughy malt notes giving way to dry crisp bitterness. Sez One will go best with lighter fair and seafood.

Draft - Saison smell to it, woody and pine. Cloudy yellow color. Dry taste. Really bland taste to be honest, no depth, no character. A Rehoboth Beach brewpub exclusive.

Not a bad Aroma on this brew. Had it at the Brewpub in Delaware. Pour is nice and cloudy with a thin white head.

Pours a hazy golden with a medium bubbly white head. Aroma of black pepper, tropical fruits, saison esters and light citrus. Flavor of black pepper, citrus, mango, white grapes and saison esters.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. The aroma has a peppery light lemon note. Very light. The taste is grainy, grassy, a bit salty. The Saison character is there but it is not nearly as dry. Almost a Saison, gose , and apa blend.

From the tap poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Light funky malty flavor with a quick finish.
