3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 j12601 (4435) - Poughkeepsie, USA - MAR 8, 2009
Bottle. Pours a crystal clear orange brown with a medium white head with some lacing. Toasty malt, a hint of hops, but otherwise a bit empty. Thin to medium bodied, and thinner than it looks, with a bit of malty sweetness. Finishes with a nice zing of spicy hops, and a bit of bitterness. This wasn’t available in NY for a while so I was happy to see it show up… but it seems like I wasn’t missing much.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 jcartamdg (256) - Spring Hill, Florida, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Pours a golden honey with a two finger head that sticks around, great lacing throughout. Aroma of hops upfront with malts in the back, taste follows the nose, low hop profile compared to newer pale ales. Smooth and easy to drink. This beer doesn’t have the best ratings on here but I like it, it’s a great summer lawnmower beer and great beer to introduce others to craft.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 sonnycheeba (826) - Fells Point, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Tap. Pours slightly hazy gold with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is very muted; straw and cereal malt, citrus fruit, and grassy hops. Flavor is malt forward with supporting fruit esters and hops (light bitterness); bland finish. Light body, medium carbonation, and low warmth.

Bottle. Solid smell of roast hops and some spice. Roast, pine, and spice flavor. Slightly sweet and bitter at the same time. Taste fades rather abruptly but gets more consistent as you drink it.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Travlr (5390) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - FEB 27, 2012
Draft in Gaithersburg. Hazy golden color, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma of citrus, hay, white pepper. Taste starts with decent hoppy bitterness then peters out toward the finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Boliv (1045) - New York, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Bottled 11.29.11. Pours clear dark orange with a creamy 1.5-finger beige head. Moderately hoppy nose, sort of muddled, but with some citrus, spices (I swear, I detect faint cinnamon here), and bready malt. The flavor is slightly spicy grass, bitter earthy hops, and mild malt. Again, there’s a hint of spice with some sweetness. Easy-drinking; it’d be easy to put down a few of these. Pretty good. [987]
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sbuchert (2) - - FEB 2, 2012 does not count
Tastes light, usually Dogfish has distinct tasting beer that is smooth but this is still a good beer, above average.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 nevets4433 (439) - - JAN 2, 2012

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 callmemickey (795) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 2, 2012
Reviewed from notes (2007).
A: Golden orange body with a minimal head.
S: Soft pale malts and a cloudy fruit/bitter profile that is kind of off (not skunked).
T: Follows the aroma... this is kind of murky and the flavors aren’t very discernible from each other... the malts blend into hops in a muddled way
M: A thick, cream-like mouthfeel with a bit of carbonation here and there... leaves a film in the mouth.
O: A pass.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jcos (679) - Maryland, USA - NOV 7, 2011
Location/Date:Bottle on November 6th, 2011.
Appearance: Pours copper.
Aroma: Aroma is of light hop.
Taste: Taste is decent bitterness, some malt, not aggressive.
Palate:Medium body, a little fizzier than expected.
Summary: There is nothing wrong with this beer and it hits the style, but it’s more a solid session beer.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 msojka (457) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 30, 2011
Pour is a golden color with a nice bubbling carbonation, and a foamy white head. Nose is of an interesting set of hop flavors. Taste is rather bland, staple of the pale ale, rather lackluster, even for a pale ale.
