billk (291), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA Apr 30, 2004 Updated: May 7, 2004 bottle 12 oz. Clear golden amber, good carbonation, nice off white head that fell rather quickly, minimal lace.Malty caramel aroma with faint hops. Lightly roasted grain/malt flavor that is rather thin/light bodied. Rather dry, with some bitterness. Not much hop flavor. Has a clean, non complex, straightforeward taste. Neither disappointing, nor unpleasant, just econo tasting. Very easy to drink. Would make a good session or food wash down beer. Remember its 6/$6.49
esjaygee (918), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Nov 29, 2008 Amber with a medium off white head and lively carbonation appearance. Aroma is more hoppy than malted with citrus hops and caramel malt. Taste is pretty balanced with citrus hops and sweet malt. Body does come across a little over carbonated. Decent, but all their other pale ales far outclass this one. GMUcrew7 (236), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 28, 2008 Pours light copper color with small off white head, leaves little lacing behind. Aroma is light, slightly hopped and biscuit malts. Flavor is much the same, nicely balanced, the sweet and buttery biscuit malts followed by slightly bitter floral hops. As mentioned before would make a fine session beer. HonkeyBra (509), Lemont, Illinois, USA Nov 19, 2008 Thanks to Carythedude for this one. Caramel color, fruity, musty nose. Flavor is nicely hoppy and fruity. With a bit of a dry malt finish. Overall, very flavorful ale. Dug it. CaryTheDude (489), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Oct 30, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Floral hops on the nose and on the tongue. Yes, my tongue can smell the floralness. Thought it was damn good. Very dry, clean, nice finish. Don’t know why it’s rated so low. cheapdark (1651), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 15, 2008 Filtered and slightly darker than pale ale or lager. More like pale orange with a tea-froth head. Expecting a lighter ale for some reason, you know, shelter. Very nice light bready aroma. Initially, somewhat like an APA. However, as the session continues there is a leaning toward IPA. Citrus bite develops and becomes somewhat interesting. Decent ’around the tongue’ fizz continues through-out. Lighter to medium ale attributes roll on. Finish is almost an annoying linger.
