3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours reddish copper with a small off-white head. The aroma has caramel malt, cream, strawberry, light grape must and no hops I can ascertain. It has a medium / light body thatís pretty crisp and has a bit of sharp carbonation. Well, the taste certainly is unique. Starts off with a mix of semio-sweet maltiness, dry red grape flavors (but not real wine-like notes), spicy/piny hops and minerals. The finish has more mineral notes, lots of phenolic spice and an aspirin quality. Not fully sure what I think of this.

Eh, pretty boring. Not very appealing to any of the senses. I can taste and smell the grape must and but doesnít seem to mix well with the beer. Bleh.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled 01/06/14. Nose is hoppy, very rindy, and has good bitterness coming across, lightly dusty with grape, very appealing!. Pours extremely pale amber, approaching a purple/clear cider-like paling at the bottom, but closer to ruby up top, with a dense and soapy pink-tinged off-white head. Full body with avg carbonation, a little slick, relatively low bitterness for an IPA, mostly felt at the finish where it mixes with the weird tang of grape skin; itís a pleasing wave of strong tannins unlike those derived from overtaxed grains. Light spicy character, citric hops trying to lie somewhat low. Semi-dry at best but with interesting little eddies of unusual flavor combinations, but I could see a lot of palates refusing to take the sweetness/tanginess/grapiness accumulated over a full serving. This is an extremely weird experience to find in a beer bottle, but I canít deny the appeal -- very much like how Kalte Muschi or Calimocho elevates cola above the ordinary, and the mixture is really something greater than the sum.
Still needs moar hops.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear golden-copper color with a short light tan head. Lacing drags the insides of the glass as the head dissipates. Toasty malts and herbal and citrusy hops on the nose. Neither aroma dominates the other and seems to blend seamlessly. Thinner texture with a burning scrub starting midway. Juicy apricot and citrus up front. Finishes with a peculiar infected homebrew sourness. If not for that, this would be a lot of fun.

12oz bottle at home - Iíve been excited to try this for a few months now. 61Min pours a pretty pink with a creamy off white head, looks really nice. faint grains and grape must for aroma. the flavor and body (palate) of this beer and where it completely loses me. the flavors just kind of wash over as bitter wine cooler. 60 minute is nowhere to be found, a weird and unsatisfying beer for me.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
My 3rd 12oz. bottle ever. A loyal Dogfish 60 and 90 minute fan. This does not retain 60 minute greatness. It is grape juice with some bread aroma and a touch of decent malts. The hops are destroyed by the grape tannin and the pink pour scared me. Being a Dogfish lover I risked a try! It is sweet, and reminds me of the old wine cooler taste. I bet non-IPA lovers will like it, as it is fruity with some peach and pine mixed back in the distance. It retains a small head, and leaves a decent lacing on the glass. Iíd attribute that lacing to the sugar rather than the beloved hops and alcohol. It goes down easily. It doesnt change much on the palate from the nose. Grape grape grape. It would be an acceptable one-off, but for Dogfish to make it a year round staple available everywhere is not cool. It is a far cry from a Stone IPA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from bottle to glass. Dark orange hue with fizzy white head. Aroma is funk, grape skins, cave must, citrus hops, caramel. Mouthfeel is nice with medium light body and high carbonation. Taste is dry with a bitter following and tannic finish. Overall this is a funky brew with definite horse blanket essence. Not great but different.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Has some grassy hop aromas, as well as some farmhouse funk and "the inside of a winery", according to my wife. Itís a gorgeous ruby color with plummy tints and a white head. The taste is very peculiar and not particularly tasty. It has a sort of sherry taste, akin to old wine or wine added to weak beer. It definitely doesnít taste anything at all like 60-minute IPA and not particularly like syrah. Credit to Dogfish Head for being willing to experiment, but this one fell a bit flat.

Clear amber color and good head with a sweet hop aroma and a very slight bitter finish. A reasonably interesting beer that isnít too happy or bitter.
