Smell like sweet potato and grape juice, with some yogurt like yeast smell. The color is pink-golden, thatís interesting. Very thin foam, wonít last, very few lace. Foretaste is subtle sweet and more subtle bitter, then it has light dry feeling. The aroma is like cane juice, I canít feel hopsí trace. The aftertaste feels a little boozy, and I can feel cane sugar taste stays at mouth, and it turns sour (like sugar in soda, not feeling very well), and it leaves some green appleís aroma (maybe some citrus ) at mouth too. Itís quite light, not hoppy, any feels is just a hint, I tried grape must added barleywine and beer before, itís a catalyst but doesnít give too much tastes, this IPA doesnít feels like American IPA, itís like a experiment, but I think there should be more tastes to balance the 6.5%ABV.

The aroma of this beer is very complex, definitely sporting some of the Syrah that is used in the process. The mouthfeel is pleasant but towards the lighter side and cut by grape and hop acidity. The taste has some very good Syrah flavors but tends to be overshadowed by hop bitterness. Some aging would do this beer a lot of good. Tastes young.

Red-tinted amber, slight floral aroma, The syrah grape defuses some of the bitterness of the 60-minute.

Bottle / pours peachy copper with medium thick white head. Nose of Merlot, vinegar, and yeast. Taste is also of a mild merlot, malt, and bitter undertones. Not well rounded for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. Amber colored with hints of red, pink, and gold. Aroma is dry red wine, grapes, and a touch of grapefruit. Taste is like a diluted red wine with notes of citrus and spruce. A very interesting beer/wine hybrid. Takes getting used to.

The aroma is hops - spruce with a floral. Pours a clear amber orange/red with a small creamy pinkish head, good lacing. The taste is sweet then bitter. The body is light/medium, the texture slick and creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish astringent and bitter. OK

Normally I would not pay attention to a new Dogfish Head beer but this one caught my eye. A reasonably priced experiment yielded a good blend of traditional 60 Minute IPA and fruity grape flavors. If this is a regular release now it is worth grabbing fresh.

Aroma / Appearance - A rosy semitransparent base and crisp white head look like frosting over a dark sheet cake. Red grapes, light chocolate, fresh citrus, and open textures linger in the air with a fresh feel.

Flavor / Palate - Grapes, 7UP, lemon, and sweet tea tickle the palate. A dash of honey cascades over a wave of nutty citrus based hops. A pleasant release, this actually was worth the cost of the single and something I would possibly buy again.

Pours reddish amber with a small white head that fades to a small island and tony ring. Aroma is sweet with hints of wine-y must. Drinks sweet with a nice maltiness. Hops are mild but present. Smooth finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle - This brew has an aroma of citrus hops and indistinct dark fruit which I will assume is the Syrah. Itís not strong. The flavor has hops bitterness and muted grape. Itís a little sour and the hops are not very aggressive. This oneís good but honestly I like the 60 Minute IPA much more.

Poured from bottle. Clean reddish, brown in glass. Minimal white head. Nose is white wine (as this warmed in the glass, shifting to more of a red wine, the earthy notes not present at first), floral hops (which dissapear as the beer warms) and tinge of malts, adding a hint of sweetness to the bouquet. Taste starts with a fruity (tart grapes) and builds with notes of pine and sweet malts. There is far less of titular IPA in the taste than I expected. The Syrah really own this beer. Dry on the palate. Can see this pairing nicely with foods typically calling for dry reds.
