VinegarStroke (280) - Napa, California, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Bottle: Slight haze, light red brown, medium to poor head. Sweet berry fruit, malty and a slight pine to citrus lift almost like mandarin or orange. Clean, fruity aroma. Dry, bitter palate with low or no sourness. Palate is medium weight and moderately long. Moderate carbonation with fine bead. Interesting and funky. Loads of hops but lots of malt and obvious berry flavor.

Bottle. All I can say is wow! Not a wine fan but if wine was like this, count me in! Truly is their 60 min IPA with one added ingredient....grape must. Dogfish head has it figured out!! ----Hophaze out

A- pours a rose colored amber with a good two fingers of lightly pinkish head. Good lacing. S- Syrah must is strong with tannic notes, dried straw, grapefruit, faint caramel malt notes, muddled berry, floral, some resin as it warms. M- medium sticky body with a light to medium palate. T- caramel malts, red wine tannins, and grapefruit in he beginning. Pine resin, lemon zest, oranges and strawberries. Dry ending is lightly floral, with grapefruit and grasses.

The beautiful boutique of hops comes through just like it does in Sixty Minute, but this has a nice little fruity twist to it. Color is orange with a rose hue. Nice lacing. Grapes really come through in the flavor. I enjoyed the addition, makes it unique.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a rocky light pink head that lingers and leaves great lace. Aroma is hay, body is thin, taste is lightly bitter, average carbonation, with a lightly sour, lightly bitter, faintly grape tartness in the finish. Had to look-up what grape must is. Interesting beer, okay.

Pours light orange with a really glaring ruby tint. Sort of musky odor with a little bit of grape in the nose. Almost a sharp tartness at the beginning with some cherry notes melding into some mild lemon zest and finally ends with a sort of dry bitterness. It’s a little different, but not that unusual for a dogfish head.

Alpha10 (342) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 26, 2013
2013/11/26 - Pours a rosy, pink amber colour with a soapy, light pink head that lingers. Aroma is mainly grape with a funk and some floral hops. Taste is a similar to nose with lots of grape, a little funk and floral hops. Mouthfeel and carbonation are medium with a dry tannin aftertaste. An interesting beer, but the hops bitterness seems to take a backseat to the grape must notes. Still, quite refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark plum look. odd funky smell. Funky taste too; even on tongue. Competing flavors, effervescent through nose. odd.

An IPA brewed with grape must. Rosy hue and very nice floral-grape aroma. The taste is close to an APA with a dash of floral grape. Interesting stuff that is fairly typical of DFH.

Bottled 26FEB13 Pours a nicely pink hued copper with a slim sheet of light pink foam. Smells juicy out the gate with grapes, and I have to admit that the grapes carry that dirty, inky depth of Syrah grapes. Also some bits of resin, but mostly dominated by the grape character. Standard sweet english malt dominance in the DFH beers, some bitterness, a bit of blueberry and musty earth. Medium bodied with light carb and a semi dry finish. Interesting beer, I’m really left unmoved, but wouldn’t shy somebody away from the beer.
