Pours to the color of a blush or rose wine. A starch white head. The aroma is definitely hoppy with a lot of pine and pineapple. Subtle notes of grapes. The flavor is a hoppy one, but the sweetness of the grapes is apparent. Like a wine and a beer had a baby. Bitter, but not too much. Wine is fairly apparent.

Bottled. Poured clear, medium amber with a sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet, kind of dank vinous notes and fruity hoppage over caramel malts and a little molasses.. not as much IPA character as I expected, but solid. The flavor found more of the vinous notes than anything else, and they were tasty.. tangy wine and berry character rolled through the drink.. some fruity bitterness complemented.. finished with berries and bitterness. Medium-bodied and fairly dry on the palate.. I enjoyed the tangy/sour character form the grapes.. overall a good drinker.

Poured from bottle from cellar at 54F. Pours a ruby gold with a two finger slightly pink, mostly white, soft head. Aroma is clearly hoppy, mostly citrus, with undertones clearly from grape. The grape is clearly Syrah having that jammy red fruit aroma typical of Syrah/Shiraz, especially those from Australia. This has a very smooth mouthfeel. Tastes a bit winey with some citrus initially, followed by almost muddy grape flavors, then caramelly malt, and bread, leaving a finish of a touch of resin and mineral. I find myself wanting to keep drinking this, but I am not really sure why. I don’t find it particularly tasty, and yet I keep wanting another drink. In the end, I am not sure it is a great blend of wine and beer.

Bottle from BOTW. Pale purple-maroon color, clear, lacy head. Nose of grapes and citrus hops, musty. Interesting fruity flavor, must, some caramel, grass, citrus. Interesting and a bit weird. Ok.

Pours a carnation red with a slight rose pink head. Aroma is light citrus in wine. Taste is doughy malt with very little hop bitterness. The grape flavors are muted to a lingering sweet dry finish. Overall, less than I had hoped for but not terrible.

I’m usually a fan of DFH’s wine / beer experiments, but this didn’t hit any marks for me; it lacks a depth of flavor and is uninspired compared to their superior brews. Drinks smooth, but not interested in another. Serving 12 oz bottle.

On tap. Clear ruby color with white head. Fruity grape aroma with floral, cirtrus hops notes. Start is tart fruity grape and apple flavor finsished with herbal and hop flavors. Silky smooth palate.

Pours a clear reddish color with a thin white head. Aroma is very fruity, grape, light malt, not much else. Taste is sweet red grape, bitter like a skin of a plum, very thin cereal malt, and maybe a slight bitter but not much. Overall a very drinkable beer, but not very flavorful, still good for 6.5% too.

Light retention and very light lacing. Smells of Syrah grapes and apples. Tastes of Syrah grapes and apples. Barely any aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Catching up on some old ratings from Untappd -- First rated on 16 Jun 2013. Interesting. Not sure what to think about this one.
