Got the bottle at Spec's. Pours a dark red/blush color with a white head. Smells like an IPA, with a hint of sweet. I don't taste much grape, but the hops come through clear. Not bad.

9/19/2013: Dogfish Head Sixty One (The conintually-hopped India Pale Ale brewed with Syrah grape must.)... Aroma: Musty IPA bursting with white grapefruit with a tinge of wine. Appearance: Unusual mauve color thatís both attractive and clean; off-purple head of frothy foam. Flavor: Citrusy and punchy hops right up front; the hop flavor is citrus rind along with some notes of pine and cedar; the grape flavor is there, but adds more of a light red wine characteristic rather than sweetness paired a hint of wild strawberry; dry red wine along with some tanin reveals itself in the finish and aftertaste; overall bitterness level is high, welcomed, and definitely appreciated as it washes over the thin underlying malt and seems to balance out as the beer breathes and the palate adjusts to the initial bracing bitterness; simply delicious! Palate: Medium-light to medium body; spritzy mouthfeel. Overall: I was worried that this beer would end up too sweet with the addition of the grape must, but thereís definitely ample hoppiness and bitterness throughout; the grape must actually pairs really well with the style and the beer and lends itself to creating a synergystic complexity; I might actually like this one more than the regular DFH 60 Minute IPA! 12 fl. oz. bottle (6.5% alc. by vol.; Bottled on 08/08/13 1348) from The Party Source in Bellevue, KY. Rating #358 for this beer.

Total Wine bottle in Vegas. Surprised by the seemingly low ratings. I thought this was tasty. Enough hops to balance the grape sweetness and provide some bitterness. The grapes arenít too sweet either. Fine with me.

Pours hazy redish/amber with a medium sized light pink head and some lacing. Aroma of grapes, ripe fruit and dusty. Flavor is sweet, plastic, grapes, bitter hops with a dry finish
This didnít do anything for me

Tap at Parry's Pizzeria, Highlands Ranch. Sweet grape aroma with some hoppy notes. Pours reddish amber colored with a light, fizzy head. Very wine-like flavor of the Syrah grapes, slightly tart. Finishes tart with a little bit of the hops showing through. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to glass. Pours a clear amber-mahogony-cherry color with a very thin white fizzy white head. Aroma is definitely musty with a mild red wine character. Flavor is mildly sweet with zero hop presence. Somewhat dry on the palate with a lingering musty grape note. Decent for a fruit beer, but certainly not for an IPA.

12 oz bottle from the Liquor Kabinet. Purple red appearance with ruby hues and a white pinkish head. Aroma of grapes, wine, hops and toasted malts. Similar flavor, pretty smooth with light bitterness. Pretty balanced and easy to drink. Somewhat interesting, not too bad.

Bottle sample at tasting at Beer&Beyond shop. Pours a bit hazy red-purple with a small head. Smell of grape juice and hops. Taste - sweetish with grapes, berries and caramel notes, some sour acidity, light bitterness. Medium-bodied, soft carbonation. Interesting.

Clear cranberry red, almost a dark pink, with a one-finger foamy offwhite head that retained well and left nice lace. Vinuous grape aromas with pine and earthy hop notes. Sharp tartness up front that mellows as the beer warms, but it keeps the hops in check, so itís nothing like the 60. Light to medium body, generous carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and a lingering grape sweetness.
